On getting reps with LB Von Miller not at practice “It was fun to get out and do some reps. They wanted to let him rest today. We’ll see how it goes. I’m pretty sure he’ll be out on the field on Sunday, but I’m just going to keep my mind focused and ready to help this team any way I can.”
On being ready to play “I’ve been doing it all year. I don’t prepare any other way, and I think that’s helped me throughout my career. I play this game to be ready, not on a day of hoping. I know my number is going to be called. If it’s called this weekend, I’ll be out there and be ready.”
On the team “Our guys have been doing their job. It’s just a matter of believing and buying into what [Head] Coach [John] Fox and [Defensive Coordinator Dennis Allen] D.A. and [Offensive Coordinator] Mike McCoy are preaching. We just want to continue doing that. We will continue to pay as a team and just continue to work.”
On the Vikings “It’s the NFL. Every week is a battle. They’ve got a guy named [RB] Adrian Peterson, a [WR] Percy Harvin, they’ve got an up-and- coming guy named [QB] Christian Ponder, and those guys can make plays. [DE] Jared Allen is at the top of the league in sacks, so those guys will be ready. They get paid to do the same things we do. We have to go in there and stay focused and play hard like we’ve been doing.”
On Minnesota RB Adrian Peterson “If he’s not the best, he’s at the top in the league, so you always have to respect a guy like him. That’s the respect we have for him going into Sunday. If he’s on the field, we know he’ll be getting the ball a lot. He’s a guy that we’ll be focusing on.”
On playing with a thumb injury “A lot of guys do a lot of things. You’ve seen [San Francisco LB] Patrick Willis paly with one, [San Diego LB] Takeo Spikes, numerous guys throughout the years. I don’t think it’s that hard. Fortunately I haven’t experience that, but I’m sure if any guy get it and he wants to play, he’ll play.”
