In the 32nd matchup between these two franchises, the Vikings are looking to improve their overall home record (12-3-0) against the Saints. In the 2011 home matchup against New Orleans, Minnesota saw their five (12-3-0) game home winning streak end after a 42-20 loss. Vikings coach Adam Zimmer coached with New Orleans during the 2009 season when the Saints defeated the Vikings in the NFC Championship game and went on to win the SB XLIV title.

9/17 at Pittsburgh 9-8-0 The Steelers with host the Vikings for the first time since 2009 when Minnesota fell to Pittsburgh at Heinz Field, 27-17. The Vikings hold the overall series lead, 9-8, and look to improve to .500 in road games against the Steelers. This year’s clash will (4-5-0) be ’s first against the Steelers since leaving AFC North to lead the Vikings in 2014. Minnesota and Tampa Bay will square off for the 55th time in franchise history. This game will mark the 28th time the Vikings 9/24 Tampa Bay 32-22-0 have hosted the Buccaneers with club looking to end a three-game home losing streak to Tampa Bay. The Vikings last home victory against the Buccaneers came on Sept. 20, 2001 in a close 20-16 game. From 1977-2001 the teams were division rivals (18-9-0) in the old NFC Central, with the Vikings compiling a 31-17 record during that stretch. The Buccaneers are 5-1 in the team’s six matchups since the NFC Central was disbanded. 10/1 Detroit 71-38-2 In 2016, the Lions defeated the Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium in the third game between the two teams, with Detroit (39-15-1) holding a 3-0 record in those games. Lions K drilled a 58-yard as time expired to send the game to overtime.

10/9 at Chicago 58-52-2 Week 5 will feature the 61st game in Vikings franchise history and a Monday night rematch with division rival Chicago. The Vikings fell to the Bears on Halloween night in 2016, 20-10, to bring the team’s all-time record (22-31-2) against the Bears in Chicago to 22-31-2.

10/15 Green Bay 51-60-2 The Vikings will look to win back-to-back home matchups against the rival Packers in 2017, having defeated Green Bay 17-14 in the inaugural regular season game at U.S. Bank Stadium in 2016. With a victory, the all-time series in Minnesota would be (27-28-0) knotted at 28-28. 10/22 Baltimore 2-3-0 Minnesota will host Baltimore for the second time in franchise history. The Vikings are looking to stay undefeated against the (1-0-0) Ravens at home with their most recent matchup resulting in a 33-31 win on Oct. 18, 2009 at the Metrodome. The Vikings look to remain perfect in games played outside the United States in the franchise’s sixth international contest. 10/29 at Cleveland 11-4-0 Minnesota, which was part of the first-ever NFL game played in London (28-10 win over St. Louis in the 1983 preseason), holds an 11-4 series lead over Cleveland and has won four of the previous five meetings. Minnesota claimed a win, 34-27 (London) (4-2-0) over Pittsburgh at Wembley Stadium, during its most recent London trip (2013). Prior to the 2013 London trip, the team made four trips overseas for preseason games in the 1980s and 90s, (England 1983, Sweden ’88, Germany ’93, Japan ’94). The Vikings will return to the Nation’s Capital looking to even the overall series record, which stands at 12-13, including a 11/12 at Washington 12-13-0 6-7 mark when the Redskins host. The game will be the seventh meeting between the teams in eight years, with the Vikings (6-7-0) holding a 4-2 edge (2-2 in road games) since 2010. During last season’s showdown, the Viking held a 20-14 halftime advan- tage before falling 20-26 following four second-half Redskins field goals. This will mark the first time the Los Angeles Rams will travel to square off against the Minnesota Vikings in the regular season 11/19 L.A. Rams 26-16-2 since making the move to Southern California. The Vikings emerged victorious in their most recent matchup against the Rams, 21-18 overtime thriller at TCF Bank Stadium on Nov. 8, 2015. Coach Mike Zimmer earned his first win as a (15-3-2) when the team defeated the Rams 34-6 in the 2014 season opener. The two teams have met seven times in the playoffs, tied for the most playoff matchups in team history.

11/23 at Detroit 71-38-2 The Vikings will travel to the Motor City for the club’s first back-to-back Thanksgiving Day games since the 1987-88 seasons. The Vikings suffered a 16-13 loss to the Lions in the club’s seventh Turkey Day contest in 2016, dropping Minnesota’s overall (32-23-1) series lead to 71-38-2, including a 32-23-1 record in the Motor City. The defending NFC Champions will host the Vikings in the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, renewing a series that Minnesota 12/3 at Atlanta 18-11-0 leads, 18-11. The Falcons and Vikings have split their 14 games played in Atlanta, including their most recent clash in 2015, (7-7-0) a 20-10 road victory for Minnesota. Mike Zimmer-coached teams have won six of nine games against his former teams, including two victories by the Vikings since taking the helm in 2014. Minnesota will visit the Panthers for the second-consecutive year after claiming its second-ever win in Charlotte during last 12/10 at Carolina 8-5-0 season’s Week 3 showdown that featured a dominant defensive performance by the Vikings. Mike Zimmer is 2-0 against (2-2-0) Carolina as the Vikings head coach, allowing the Panthers a combined 23 points (11.5 ppg) in those two matchups. During Zimmer’s Minnesota tenure (since 2014), the Panthers have averaged 25.2 points per game. The Cincinnati Bengals travel north to face the Vikings in the 13th meeting between the franchises. The matchup marks the 12/17 Cincinnati 6-6-0 first time Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer will face his former team during the regular season. Minnesota holds a 5-0 record against the Bengals at home with their last victory delivered in lop-sided fashion to the tune of 30-10, on Dec. 13, 2009. Mike (5-0-0) Zimmer was hired away from the Bengals in 2014, becoming head coach of the Vikings after serving as Cincinnati’s defensive coordinator for six seasons with four playoff berths. In 2016, the Packers defeated the Vikings at Lambeau Field on Christmas Eve, the third time the two teams have battled on 12/23 at Green Bay 51-60-2 a Saturday. had a career day despite the 38-25 loss, racking up 12 receptions for 202 yards and two touch- (24-32-2) downs, all career-highs, his 202 yards marks the third most in team history and fifth time a Viking has recorded 200+ yards. Minnesota is 17-10 all time on Saturdays. The Vikings will encore its New Year’s Day win over division rival Chicago to end the 2016 campaign with a New Year’s Eve 12/31 Chicago 58-52-2 duel against the Bears to conclude the 2017 slate. Minnesota has a five-game winning streak against the Bears at home, a (36-21-0) streak that spans three different stadiums (Metrodome, TCF Bank Stadium, and U.S. Bank Stadium). The Vikings hold a 36-21 all-time advantage in home game. 2017 NFL DRAFT FACTS & FIGURES
