Seminoles in the Nfl Draft 137 PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME All-time Florida State gridiron greats Walter Jones and Derrick Brooks are used to making history. The longtime NFL stars added an achievement that will without a doubt move to the top of their accolade-filled biographies when they were inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame inAugust, 2014. Jones and Brooks became the first pair of first-ballot Hall of Famers from the same class who attended the same college in over 40 years. The pair’s journey together started 20 years ago. Just as Brooks was wrapping up his All-America career at Florida State in 1994, Jones was joining the Seminoles out of Holmes Community College (Miss.) for the 1995 season. DERRICK BROOKS Linebacker 1991-94 2014 Pro Football Hall of Fame WALTER JONES Offensive Tackle 1995-96 2014 Pro Football Hall of Fame 138 PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME They never played on the same team at Florida State, but Jones distinctly remembers how excited he was to follow in the footsteps of the star linebacker whom he called the face of the Seminoles’ program. Jones and Brooks were the best at what they did for over a decade in the NFL. Brooks went to 11 Pro Bowls and never missed a game in 14 seasons (all with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers), while Jones became the NFL’s premier left tackle, going to nine Pro Bowls over 12 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. Both retired in 2008, and, six years later, Jones and Brooks were teammates for the first time as first-ballot Hall of Famers. Their selections to Canton give Florida State four members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Deion Sanders was elected in 2011 and Fred Biletnikoff was selected in 1988. • Notas De La NFL De La Undécima Semana

  • Dec. 19, 2017 for Immediate Release Four Raiders Selected to 2018 Pro
Dec. 19, 2017 For Immediate Release Four Raiders Selected to 2018 Pro Bowl ALAMEDA, Calif. – Oakland Raiders C Rodney Hudson, DE Khalil Mack, G/T Kelechi Osemele and T Donald Penn have been named to the 2018 Pro Bowl, the NFL announced Tuesday. LB NaVorro Bowman, QB Derek Carr, G Gabe Jackson, P Marquette King, RB Marshawn Lynch and WR Cordarrelle Patterson (return specialist) were named as alternates for the annual all-star game, scheduled to be played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., on Jan. 28, 2018. Mack has been selected to his third consecutive Pro Bowl after earning the honor in 2015 and 2016 as well. He has started all 14 games this season and has recorded 77 tackles (56 solo), a team-leading 10.5 sacks (75.5 yards), one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and a career-high five passes defensed. Mack has notched two multi-sack performances in 2017, and is currently on a five-game sack streak, the longest active streak in the NFL. While his 10.5 sacks on the year rank ninth in the league, his six since Week 11 are tied for the most in the NFL. With his most recent two-sack performance in Week 15, Mack has now totaled double-digit sacks for the third consecutive season, becoming just the fifth Raider in club history to accomplish the feat since sacks became an official stat in 1982. Additionally, Mack is one of just three defenders league wide to do so in each of the last three seasons. Hudson, Osemele and Penn anchor one of the most dominant offensive lines in the league.

  • M&T Bank Stadium
M&T BANK STADIUM - BALTIMORE RAVENS When it came to choosing an exterior coating system for the home of the Baltimore Ravens football team in 1997, the Maryland Stadium Authority wanted a proven performer with a solid record of abrasion, moisture, chemical and corrosion resistance. After considering all the options, the owners handed the ball to Tnemec. “They really liked the aesthetics of Series 530 Omnithane, a moisture-cured urethane which provides a bright metallic finish when used as a topcoat,” recalled Tnemec coating consultant Todd Guntner. “That had a lot to do with Tnemec being chosen for the project.” Another factor in the selection of Tnemec over five of its competitors was the teamwork between Guntner and Darrell Buerky, a fellow Tnemec coating consultant in Kansas City, MO. Buerky had previous experience working with the Kansas City- based architectural firm that designed the stadium, HOK Sport, and was also knowledgeable about the use of Omnithane as a topcoat. Together, the two consultants successfully demonstrated the performance advantages of their two-coat system compared to the competitive products. The Tnemec coating system was used on all exterior exposed PROJECT INFORMATION steel including structural beams, columns and joists, which were subcontracted to four different fabricators. Following commercial blast cleaning in accordance with SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 4, the Project Location steel received a shop-applied prime coat of Series 90-97 Tneme- Baltimore, Maryland Zinc, a zinc-rich polyurethane with excellent corrosion resistance that was also used at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Project Completion Date 1997 The Omnithane topcoat was then brush- and roller-applied by the field applicator.
