Dance Move Engage is an organisation registered with DSA and abiding by their rules, promoting Grass Roots and transition into Recreational and Amateur events. • PROGRESSIVE TEAM EVENTS will be held at the commencement of the day. Showcase event will be held at June and Dec events only and is limited to 2mins max. Enter via NOVELTY TAB. • UNREGISTERED SOLO EVENTS Designed for newcomers. Classed as Novelty events and not registered with DSA. Each competitor requires a back number and will dance without a partner. Enter via NOVELTY TAB. • UNREGISTERED BOY/GIRL EVENTS Designed for newcomers. Previously referred to as “Individual”. Classed as Novelty events and not registered with DSA. Each competitor requires a number to be worn on their back. To be partnered by another Unregistered, Recreational or Amateur competitor. Enter via NOVELTY TAB. • SUB – JUVENILE AGE CATEGORY EVENTS Designed for children 9 years and under (born 2009 or later) to give them a fair go! • RECREATIONAL SOLO EVENTS ALL Solo events are classed as Novelty events. Registered with DSA as Recreational with CID#. This event is designed for those who DO NOT have a regular partner. Each competitor requires a back number and will dance without a partner. • RECREATIONAL BOY/GIRL EVENTS Registered with DSA as Recreational with CID#. This event is designed for those who DO NOT have a regular partner. They can be partnered by another DSA registered Rec or Amateur Graded Competitor but not a qualified Coach in these events. Each individual competitor requires a back number and both partner and Individual require a CID (Rec Day Passes are accepted). • RECREATIONAL COUPLE EVENTS Both competitors in the couple must be registered with DSA as a Recreational Competitor with CID#. Couples must enter as a couple and a number is required for the boy only – it will be the same number as his individual number (if he is competing in any Solo or Individual events) however girls will only use their number when competing in both Individual and Couple events. • AMATEUR GRADED EVENTS Both competitors in the couple must be registered with DSA as an Amateur Graded Competitor with CID#. Couples must enter as a couple and a number is required for the boy only. • NOVELTY OPEN COUPLE EVENTS These events are open to any couple of any age (couple number required if two individuals partner each other) and are used as a way of introducing couples to these advanced or giving them the opportunity to develop them. Enter via NOVELTY TAB. • TEACHER + REC STUDENT EVENTS Any DSA registered Amateur or qualified Coach/Pro can compete with a Recreational Individual. • TEACHER + AMATEUR STUDENT EVENTS Any DSA qualified Coach/Pro can compete with a registered Amateur Individual.
