CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General. A PROCLAMATION. HEREAS His Majesty King George the Fifth was graciously pleased, by a W Commission passed under the Royal Sign-manual and Signet, bearing date at Saint James's, the twentieth day of October,· one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, to constitute and appoint me, Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, to be Governor-General and -in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies : . Now, I, the Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief aforesaid, do hereby proclaim and declare that I have this day taken the prescribed oaths before the Right Honourable Sir Stout, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, and that I have assumed the said office of Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over the Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies under and by virtue of His Majesty's said Commission.
