PREMIOS BILLBOARD 2016 DE LA MÚSICA LATINA El 28 De Abril De PREMIOS BILLBOARD 2016 DE LA MÚSICA LATINA El 28 de abril de 2016 se entregaron en Miami, los premios Billboard de la música latina, que reconocen a los álbumes, canciones e intérpretes más populares de la música latina en EE.UU., basados en las ventas, la difusión en radios e Internet que se recogen en las clasificaciones semanales de esta publicación. Por primera vez en su historia, los premios fueron presentados en una edición especial titulada 'Billboard Duets'. El español Enrique Iglesias y el puertorriqueño Nicky Jam fueron los grandes triunfadores de la gala de los Premios Billboard 2016 de la música latina, con siete galardones cada uno, junto con el mexicano Juan Gabriel, que obtuvo cinco. Seis de los siete premios de Enrique Iglesias eran compartidos con Nicky Jam por su tema “El perdón”. Por su parte, Juan Gabriel destacó con cinco galardones, entre ellos el de Gira del Año y “Top Latin Albums” Artista del Año, además de uno extra como homenaje a su extensa carrera, titulado Premio de la Estrella. Otro gran ganador de la noche fue el cantautor mexicano Marco Antonio Solís, distinguido con el premio a la Trayectoria Artística, que recibió con sentido del humor. "Jamás pensé celebrar 40 años de trayectoria y 43 de edad", bromeó el artista que agradeció el premio a Dios, al público y a su familia, que dijo ser "lo más importante que tengo hoy día". Los Premios Billboard de la música latina surgió de los Billboard de la Música. Se trata de una entrega de premios que concede la revista Billboard, publicación de la industria musical, que mide el éxito de ventas y ratings de grabaciones musicales. Los premios Billboard de la música latina se iniciaron en 1990. Además de los premios otorgados sobre la base del éxito en las listas para álbumes, sencillos y videos, la ceremonia incluye el premio «espíritu de la Esperanza», para los logros humanitarios y el premio «Trayectoria», así como premios por el socio de radiodifusión.
