n June 6, 8 Wing Supply unveiled a plaque in the memory of James “JJ” O Johnson. JJ had been employed as a public servant for 36 loyal years and will be missed by the Wing Supply family. To commemorate his tenure with 8 Wing Supply, the plaque was unveiled with the help of his daughters Kalen and Taylor and has been permanently fi xed above his old offi ce. The plaque reads as follow: James “JJ” Johnson, 36 years of dedicated service, Feb. 1977 to Feb. 2013. Rick Searle, chairperson for the event’s organizing committee, acknowledged the con- tributions of the volunteers and the sponsors to the event’s success. This event could not be done year after year without the fabulous spon- sors who pitch in every year and the volunteers who help keep the race on course. Maj. Searle was in turn praised for his organization of the event. Funds raised this year ($3,000) went to the Military Family Resource Centre.
