TERESA OMONDI - ADEITAN – EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, FIDA KENYA @FIDAKenya Teresa is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with 15-years’ work experience in governance and human rights. She has a Master’s Degree of Law from Georgetown University Washington D.C (USA) and a Master’s Degree in Gender and Development and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of (UoN). Teresa is also a Chevening Fellow on gender, social development and citizenship (University College of London, UK) and a Leadership and Advocacy for Women in Africa Fellow (2017) Georgetown University Washington DC (USA). Teresa is now serving as the the Executive Director of the Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Kenya, a leading female lawyer’s organization in Kenya that fearlessly promotes and protects women rights. Teresa has served FIDA Kenya for a total of 7 years. She has a passion for women and children rights with experience spanning family law, Women in leadership, reproductive health rights, strategic impact litigation and mediation. Teresa is also certified mediator trained by Mediation Training Institute (MTI) of the United States, she is gazetted to serve in the Victim Protection Board and the Judiciary of Kenya Court Mandated Mediation Taskforce. Prior to being the Executive Director at FIDA Kenya, she served as the National Coordinator of the International Rescue Committee (IRC) Kenya Women Empowerment Programme, Deputy Executive Director Transparency International, Executive Director of the Gender Violence Recovery Centre of the Nairobi Women’s Hospital, and as a gender expert at the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) currently known as UN Women. She has also provided gender expertise to various World Bank projects, the most recent being the East African Community (EAC) Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SHRA) Bill 2017.

KATJA IVERSEN – PRESIDENT/CEO, WOMEN DELIVER @KatjaIversen Katja Iversen is the President/CEO of Women Deliver – a leading global advocate for investment in gender equality and the health, rights, and wellbeing of girls and women, with a specific focus on maternal, sexual, and reproductive health and rights. Iversen, an internationally recognized expert on development, advocacy, and communications, has more than 25 years of experience working in NGOs, corporates, and United Nation agencies. Previously, she held the position as Chief of Strategic Communication and Public Advocacy with UNICEF, a position she came to after almost six years of leading the team responsible for advocacy and communication on reproductive health with UNFPA. She holds a master’s degree in communications, bachelor's degree in public administration, and certificates in management, conflict resolution, and international development. Iversen has worked in global development for more than 20 years and has an extensive network within the UN, development communities, and global media. She has counseled and trained multiple Fortune 500 executives on cross cultural management and cross cultural communication. PROFESSOR MARGARET KOBIA - CABINET SECRETARY, MINISTRY OF PUBLIC SERVICE, YOUTH, AND GENDER AFFAIRS @CSMargaretKobia Professor Margaret Kobia was nominated by President Kenyatta as Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs in January 2018. Prior to this role, she served as the Chairperson of the Public Service Commission of Kenya for five years. Prof. Kobia has taught management, entrepreneurship and research methods at numerous universities across Kenya, and serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Commonwealth Association of Public Administration and Management. She has received numerous awards including the Order of Grand Warrior, the First Class Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear, and the Commonwealth Gordon Draper Award. HER ROYAL HIGHNESS CROWN PRINCESS MARY OF DENMARK 2018 The Crown Princess is a passionate advocate for health, gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. She is committed to creating awareness, respect and ensuring compliance of women and girls´ sexual and reproductive health and rights, including access to family planning and the reduction of maternal and child mortality. Crown Princess Mary was a member of the High-Level Task Force for the International Conference on Population and Development and serves as patron of several international organisations and agencies, including the United Nations Population Fund and the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe, but also a number of Danish NGOs: Danish Refugee Council and Maternity Worldwide. The Crown Princess is also an Influencer of Women Deliver’s ‘Deliver for Good Campaign’ and is a member of the ICRW Leadership Council. In 2007 the Crown Princess founded The Mary Foundation with the mission of fighting social isolation. Under her leadership the foundation brings together untraditional partners to develop and manage projects and programmes that focus on prevention, the creation of opportunities and empowering vulnerable individuals and groups who find themselves socially isolated. FRIDAH GITHUKU – EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, GROOTS KENYA @Fridahgithuku / @Groots_Kenya Fidah Githuku is the Executive Director of GROOTS Kenya, a national movement of grassroots women in Kenya with a mission of enhancing effective engagement of grassroots women in mainstream development. She has invested her time organizing and building capacities of grassroots women and girls in the rural areas and poor urban settlement to advocate for their rights in political representation, control of productive assets, freedom from violence, sexual reproductive health and rights e.t.c Fridah has invested significantly in building the capacities of grassroots women to build resilience to climate change and disaster risk. She has represented GROOTS Kenya at different national and international development spaces. Fridah is passionate about the equal representation of women and men in different political and has in the past lobbied for inclusion of grassroots women in Land Control Boards, public water boards and so on. She is a strong supporter of women participation in competitive politics and has lead GROOTS Kenya team to have more grassroots women elected in the 2017 general elections in Kenya. ZACHARY MWANGI – DIRECTOR GENERAL, KENYA NATIONAL BUREAU OF STATISTICS (KNBS) @zmwangichege / @KNBStats Zachary Mwangi serves as the Director General of the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics and has over 25 years of experience in public service. He has expertise in official statistics, strategic management, surveys and census implementation, public policy analysis, budgeting, and project management. Prior to his current role, he was the Director of Macroeconomic Statistics at KNBS from 2008 to 2012. From 1991 to 2008, he worked in civil service rising to the position of Chief Economist in the then Ministry of Planning and National Development. DR. ROSE OLUOCH – GOVERNANCE AND PARTNERSHIPS COORDINATOR, SDG KENYA FORUM @Rosehubafrique / @SDGsKenyaForum Rose Oluoch has a PH.D. in curriculum development from Virginia Polytechnic and State University in USA, and a Masters Degree in education development from Stockholm University Sweden. Dr. Oluoch is a development specialist with a focus on public policy. She has over 15 years in policy analysis, capacity building, advocacy and lobbying including intergovernmental negotiations. Dr. Oluoch is a founding member of the SDG's Kenya Forum. She currently works as the Governance and Partnerships coordinator for Forum, a role that involves developing new partnerships and fundraising for the Forum’s activities. Dr. Oluoch has extensive experience of working with civil society, government, academic Institutions, and multilateral organizations. Previously whilst working with World Wild Fund -Africa she participated in High level policy engagements at the United Nations, Africa Union, East Africa Community, and the UN Economic Commission for Africa (among others), whereby she was involved in lobbying and influencing for SDG’s. She is also a core team member of the Africa Working Group which is supporting the implementation of SDG’s and Agenda 2063 across Africa.

PURITY KAGWIRIA – EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AKILI DADA @pruncie / @akilidada Purity is a feminist activist with a background in gender and development and journalism. Purity is passionate about girls' education, gender equality as well as enabling young women to access spaces to advance themselves and their communities. She sees herself as a learning leader who is committed to cultivating authentic and empathetic leadership in herself and others. Purity previously served as founding advisory committee member of FRIDA|The Young Feminist Fund and is a recipient of the prestigious HOW Fund Fellowship. In 2015, she was named as one of the 18 Phenomenal African Feminists to know and watch. In 2016, she was named a finalist of the Most Influential Women in Governance and Business in Africa. CAREN ODANGA - DIRECTOR, SISARI WOMEN’S INITIATIVE, WOMEN DELIVER YOUNG LEADER @CarenOdanga Aged 24 years old, Caren is an award winning social entrepreneur and youth influencer with over 5 years experience in promoting SRHR among disadvantaged rural poor young women. She is the Founder and Director at the Sisari Women Initiative Group (SWIG), a local non-profit-young woman- led organization. SWIG is based in Kakamega County where it works with young women in broader thematic areas of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) including access to safe abortion advocacy, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Girl-child Education, young women rights Promotion and advocacy, and poverty reduction through economic empowerment initiatives. Caren has won various local and international recognitions including 2015 Queens Young Leaders Award (UK), 2016 Women Deliver’s Young Leaders Award-USA, 2016 Top 40 under 40 influential women in Kenya Award. Among key International responsibilities, Caren currently serves as one of the 10 global Plan International’s Influencers Group working on “Girls Get Equal” Campaign. She has also served as a Board member of the Global Girls Engagement Advisory Board of the Advocates for Youth-USA. Caren is a strong believer that space must be created for girls and young women to have their voices heard and to ensure their meaningful participation in decision-making processes. ODENDA LUMUMBA – KENYA LAND ALLIANCE, CEO @KLandalliance Odenda Lumumba is a land rights activist with over 21 years work experience on land rights advocacy. He is founder Co-ordinator of the Kenya Land Alliance, an advocacy network for Land Laws and Policy Reforms. He is a member of Golden Key International Honour Society, having graduated Cum Laude with a Masters of Philosophy in Land and Agrarian Studies from the University of the Western Cape and is enrolled for a PhD in Land and Agrarian Studies in the same university. He has served as a Commissioner on the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into Illegal and/or Irregular Allocation of Public Land in Kenya (July 2003 to June 2004) and as a member of the Technical Committee on Land, Property, Natural Resources and Environment at the Kenya National Delegates Constitutional Conference between 2003 and March 2005. ISABELLE BÉRARD – ASSISTANT DEPUTY MINISTER, ENVIRONMENT AND CLIMATE CHANGE CANADA Since July 2017, Isabelle is leading the International Affairs Branch at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC). Before joining ECCC, Isabelle was the Director General for Central America and the Caribbean at Global Affairs Canada. As such, she was responsible for advancing Canadian interests on political, commercial and development issues in the region. Isabelle has an extensive experience in international relations. In 1993, she joined the Canadian International Development Agency to undertake policy and strategic planning work. She has worked in several countries in Africa, as well as in Pakistan, the Middle East and Haiti. She has had the opportunity to deal with a large range of issues including natural resources, refugees and gender equality. Isabelle has a Bachelor Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Québec in Montreal and a Graduate Degree in International Development and Cooperation from the University of Ottawa. She has also completed a Certificate in Public Sector Leadership and Governance at the University of Ottawa.

SICILY KARIUKI – CABINET SECRETARY, MINISTRY OF HEALTH, GOVERNMENT OF KENYA Sicily K. Kariuki (Mrs.), EGH is the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Health. Prior to this appointment she was the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs where she held ministerial responsibility for public service transformation, and spearheaded the delivery of programs aimed at socio economic empowerment of youth and women. Some of her achievements include signing of the 4 year Joint Program on Prevention and Response to Gender Based Violence (GBV) between the GOK and UN worth 11.5 Million USD, increasing participation of women in political and public spaces, increase of access to affirmative funds and programs for the vulnerable youth and women. Sicily has also served in the agricultural sector in various capacities, as Principal Secretary, State Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Managing Director of Tea Board of Kenya (TBK), Chief Executive Officer of Fresh Produce Exporters Association of Kenya (FPEAK) and as a Director on various International Boards where her experience spans over 20 years of transformational leadership. During her tenure in the agriculture and horticultural sectors, Sicily led the sectors to become Kenya’s top foreign exchange earners.
