That is why finding stations playing the preferred content is a tough task for a potential listener, especially due to the overwhelming number of offered choices. Here, recommender systems usually step in but existing content-based approaches rely on metadata and thus are constrained by the available data quality. Other approaches leverage user behavior data and thus do not exploit any domain-specific knowledge and are furthermore disadvantageous regarding privacy concerns. Therefore, we propose a new pipeline for the generation of audio-based radio station fingerprints relying on audio stream crawling and a Deep Autoencoder. We show that the proposed fingerprints are especially useful for characterizing radio stations by their audio content and thus are an excellent representation for meaningful and reliable radio station recommendations. Furthermore, the proposed modules are part of the HRADIO Communication Platform, which enables hybrid radio features to radio stations. It is released with a flexible open source license and enables especially small- and medium-sized businesses, to provide customized and high quality radio services to potential listeners. Our County February 2021 Twelve months ago the country saw its biggest volunteer recruitment drive since World War 2. The focus, rightly, was on supporting the people in our country through the pandemic. Girlguiding Greater Manchester West has played an important role in supporting the mental health of girls and providing a bit of normality in a world that otherwise seemed chaotic. Our thanks go to you all. We have seen a decline in the number of volunteers and girls. Some have taken time to reflect, others found their lives too busy. As we start to see the light at the end of the tunnel, it's now time to consolidate, to re-establish ourselves and to start to grow again. We can’t do this without you. Please support as much of our recruitment drive as possible. If you’re on social media, shout about Girlguiding, get your friends to shout too. If you’re not, phone the local radio stations, wear your uniform with pride and talk to as many people as possible. Let them know that Girlguiding is for all girls, that we give them a voice, and that Girlguiding changes as the lives of girls change. Global Radio Holdings Limited (Global) has agreed to acquire Juice Holdco Limited (Juice) (the Merger). Global and Juice are together referred to as the Parties. 2. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) considers that the Parties will cease to be distinct as a result of the Merger, that the share of supply test is met and that accordingly arrangements are in progress or in contemplation which, if carried into effect, will result in the creation of a relevant merger situation. 3. The Parties overlap in the supply of commercial radio services, a two-sided market in which radio stations compete both for advertisers and consumers (in this case, radio listeners). In this case, the CMA has focussed on the effect of this Merger on the advertisers’ side of the market as the CMA considers that the interests of listeners are largely protected through Ofcom’s licencing requirements and the presence of the BBC. In terms of geographic scope, the CMA assessed the effect of the Merger in those areas where the Parties currently operate (ie the Total Survey Area (TSA))1 and where there is some overlap either at a regional or local level. -

APPENDIX A Terms of reference and conduct of the inquiry 1. On 11 October 2012, the OFT sent the following reference to the CC: 1. In exercise of its duty under section 22(1) of the Enterprise Act (‘the Act’) to make a reference to the Competition Commission (‘the CC’) in relation to a completed merger, the Office of Fair Trading (‘the OFT’) believes that it is or may be the case that: (a) a relevant merger situation has been created in that: (i) enterprises carried on by or under the control of Global Radio Holdings Limited have ceased to be distinct from enterprises previously carried on by or under the control of GMG Radio Holdings Limited; and (ii) as a result, the conditions specified in section 23(4) of the Act will prevail, or will prevail to a greater extent, with respect to the supply of commercial radio based on listening hours in the UK and the supply of radio advertising services in London, the West Midlands, the East Midlands, the North West, Yorkshire, the North East, Central Scotland, South Wales and North Wales; and (b) the creation of that situation has resulted or may be expected to result in a substantial lessening of competition within any market or markets in the UK for goods or services, including the supply of non-contracted radio advertising services in North Wales, the East Midlands, South Yorkshire and Cardiff. 2. Therefore, in exercise of its duty under section 22(1) of the Act, the OFT hereby refers to the CC, for investigation and report within a period ending on 27 March 2013, on the following questions in accordance with section 35(1) of the Act: (a) whether a relevant merger situation has been created; and (b) if so, whether the creation of that situation has resulted or may be expected to result in a substantial lessening of competition within any market or markets in the UK for goods and services. -

The Format describes the type of programme service which is required to be provided, and forms part of the station's licence. 1.3 Capital FM Birmingham's Format includes requirements to provide "a rhythmic-based music and information station primarily for listeners of African or Afro-Caribbean origin, but with cross-over appeal to young white fans of urban contemporary black music and at least 26 hours a week of identifiable specialist music programmes (to include reggae, RnB and hip hop rhythmic-based (e.g. dance, club etc.))". Global Radio Holdings Ltd's request is to replace these requirements with the following new requirements: "a rhythmic-based music-led service for 15-29 year-olds supplemented with news, information and entertainment. -
