VOLUNTEER COMMUNITY SERVICE 1997 – 2000: Appointed by Mayor of City of Brockton to the Brockton Cultural Commission of the Massachusetts Arts Lottery Council 1995 – 1998: The Prevention Arts WORKShop® : volunteered as Artistic & Technical Consultant to ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ™ establish an after-school arts and cultural program and youth entrepreneurship project for HOPE Youth Development Program participants to develop “small media products” for use in community-level street and community outreach for HIV prevention; a collaboration between HOPE (Hispanic Office of Planning and Evaluation, Inc.) and the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation. 1997: “Art-Inspired Learning and Teaching” – Steamroller Printmaking Project - A collaboration ​ ​ between the Art Education Department at the Massachusetts College of Art, the McKinlay School, City of Boston Public Schools, and HOPE: Hispanic Office of Planning and Evaluation, Inc. funded by the Eisenhower Foundation.

OTHER COMMUNITY ARTS PROJECTS: 1991: ‘RicanStructed Convictions” Exhibit of Juan Sanchez Prints at Massachusetts College of Art. ​ ​ Served as liaison between HOPE and Mass Art on exhibit held on the occasion of the 20th ​ Anniversary of HOPE: Hispanic Office of Planning and Evaluation, Inc.. 1995: “CUIDA TU VIDA CONTRA EL SIDA – PROTECT YOURSELF AGAINST HIV/AIDS” – HOPE ​ STEAMROLLER PRINTMAKING PROJECT - “Program Development, Artistic and Technical Consultant” for youth arts project producing 50 large scale 4’ by 8’ murals; funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Also coordinated exhibit of prints at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and travelling exhibit to the 1995 National Council of La Raza Annual Conference in Dallas, TX 2008 – 2010: “HOPE Steamroller Print Project” and “HOPE-Combat Project” Partnerships with ​ ​ ​ the Center for Art and Community Partnerships at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, included exhibitions of Steamroller Prints at the MassArt Arnheim Gallery & Tower Gallery.
