Fermentation in “lagares”, followed by passage through new French oak barrels. After the first year of ageing, with noble evolution, the final blend was made, entering again in French oak barrels, for final touch. The bottling occurred in January 2012. Tasting Notes Opaque wine with violaceous tones. The wine reveals a richness of aromas and tremendous concentration. Floral nuances, along with liquor and black fruit notes. The barrel is only a background melody, allowing a potent flavor, typifying the rusticity of the climate surrounding the Douro Valley, very characteristic of Cachão Estate. Unforgettably long aftertaste.
