Current status: Valid as Lasiognathus amphirhamphus Pietsch 2005. Thaumatichthyidae. Distribution: Eastern Atlantic, off Madeira, Madeira Abyssal Plain [one specimen known]. Habitat: marine.

T.] & Trewavas [E.] 1932:90] Notes: [Dana Report No. 2; ref. 3682] Near Nonsuch Island, Bermuda, depth 0 to 1100 meters. Current status: Valid as Lasiognathus beebei Regan & Trewavas 1932. Thaumatichthyidae. Distribution: North Atlantic; Hawaiian Islands; probably more widespread. Habitat: marine.

Current status: Valid as Lasiognathus dinema Pietsch & Sutton 2015. Thaumatichthyidae. Distribution: Northern Gulf of Mexico. Habitat: marine.

Current status: Valid as Lasiognathus intermedius Bertelsen & Pietsch 1996. Thaumatichthyidae. Distribution: Atlantic and southeastern Pacific. Habitat: marine.

Current status: Valid as Lasiognathus saccostoma Regan 1925. Thaumatichthyidae. Distribution: Atlantic, Hawaiian Islands. Habitat: marine. Current status: Valid as Lasiognathus waltoni Nolan & Rosenblatt 1975. Thaumatichthyidae. Distribution: Northeast of Hawaiian Islands (known only from holotype). Habitat: marine.

Current status: Valid as Thaumatichthys pagidostomus Smith & Radcliffe 1912. Thaumatichthyidae. Distribution: Off Sulawesi and (tentatively) Taiwan. Habitat: marine.
