Adding to their already announced July tour, the new dates begin August 6 at the Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The group will perform songs from their extensive catalogue, as well as new material from each member. Advance tickets are available through the official CSN website at www.crosbystillsnash.com. For tickets and information click here: http://bit.ly/CSNTour. The summer tour currently runs through October 4 with a show at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. Once again, CSN will be accompanied by its backing band featuring: Shane Fontayne (guitar), Steve DiStanislao (drums), Kevin McCormick (bass), James Raymond (keyboards), and Todd Caldwell (organ). David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash unite as “three together” for the Summer 2014 dates amid a full slate of side and solo projects: David Crosby undertakes a sold out solo tour in the U.S. in April in support of CROZ, his first solo release in 20 years, five (5) sold out shows at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, and two (2) sold out shows at Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. The album was released January 28 on Blue Castle Records, the label Crosby and Nash founded in 2011, and debuted at #36 on the Billboard 200 chart. Stephen Stills just announced a 17-date solo tour, which starts May 8th in Santa Cruz, CA and ends on June 3rd in Tucson, AZ. He recently toured solo and with The Rides, his blues-rock trio with Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Barry Goldberg; their album Can’t Get Enough was released last summer. Carry On, a 4-CD box chronicling Stills’ career—produced by Nash and Joel Bernstein—also came out in 2013. Graham Nash recently wrapped a solo tour—followed by an ongoing book tour for his long-awaited autobiography Wild Tales: A Rock & Roll Life, published in September by Crown Publishing Group. He will be performing two solo shows at the brand new City Winery in Napa, CA on April 29 and 30. Nash also exhibited his artwork and photography throughout 2013. This summer, CSN will be donating $1 per ticket sold, to charity. And, excluding VIP and special benefit seat packages thru their official website, all tour tickets sold to the general public are priced under $100. Details and complete tour schedule are available at www.crosbystillsnash.com. Special benefit seats are available through www.guacfund.org. More than four decades since CSN first harmonized in Laurel Canyon, and played its first-ever concert as a trio at the legendary Woodstock festival, its members continue a creative partnership that is one of the most influential and enduring in music. David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash have each been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame two times—with Crosby, Stills & Nash, and a second time with The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, and The Hollies, respectively. They are also in the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, honored both for CSN as a group, and as individual solo artists. www.crosbystillsnash.com CSN SUMMER TOUR DATES July 2 Sands Bethlehem Event Center - Bethlehem, PA July 3 Wolf Trap for the Performing Arts/The Filene Center - Vienna, VA July 5 Bethel Woods Center for the Arts - Bethel, NY July 6 MAC Center - Monmouth University - West Long Branch, NJ July 8 Beacon Theatre - New York, NY July 9 Beacon Theatre - New York, NY July 12 Borgata Spa & Resort - Event Center - Atlantic City, NJ July 15 Providence Performing Arts Center - Providence, RI July 16 Toyota Presents the Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford, CT July 18 Jacobs Pavilion At Nautica - Cleveland, OH July 19 Ravinia Festival - Highland Park, IL August 6 Fort Lauderdale, FL - Broward Center for the Performing Arts August 7 Orlando, FL - Bob Carr Performing Arts Center August 9 Clearwater, FL - Ruth Eckerd Hall August 10 Saint Augustine, FL - Saint Augustine Amphitheatre August 12 North Charleston, SC – North Charleston Performing Arts Center August 13 Columbia, SC - Township Auditorium August 15 Greensboro, NC – Greensboro Coliseum Complex August 16 Roanoke, VA – Roanoke Performing Arts Theatre August 19 Evansville, IN - Aiken Theater in The Centre August 20 Memphis, TN - Orpheum Theatre August 22 Birmingham, AL – BJCC Concert Hall August 23 New Orleans, LA - Saenger Theatre August 25 Houston, TX - Bayou Music Center August 26 Grand Prairie, TX - Verizon Theater at Grand Prairie August 28 Austin, TX – The Long Center For The Performing Arts September 13 Woodinville, WA- Chateau Ste. SoundStage! Mike Bloomfield, Al Kooper, Steve Stills – Super Session 03.06.09 07:56 February 2009 Mike Bloomfield, Al Kooper, Steve Stills - Super Session Speakers Corner/Columbia Records CS 9701 Format: LP Originally Released: 1968 Reissue Released: 2008 by Joseph Taylor [email protected] Musical Performance Recording Quality Overall Enjoyment In 1968, Al Kooper had just left Blood Sweat & Tears, the horn band he had started, and was an A&R man at Columbia Records. Guitarist Mike Bloomfield, whom Kooper had played with on Highway 61 Revisited, was also between bands, so Kooper called him up and suggested they jam in the recording studio. Two other musicians, bassist Harvey Brooks and drummer Eddie Hoh, joined them for a marathon nine-hour session (pianist Barry Goldberg sat in on a couple of tracks). The next day, Bloomfield was a no show and Kooper, in a panic, cast about for another guitarist. He was lucky enough to track down Steven Stills, whose band, Buffalo Springfield, had just split up. After another long session, Kooper had enough material to create an album. Super Session, co-credited to Bloomfield, Kooper, and Stills, cost $13,000 to record and became a gold record. Kooper had horn arrangements dubbed onto some of the tunes, but otherwise they were released as originally recorded, except for some editing on a version of Donovan’s "Season of the Witch." Bloomfield is the reason to own the record. His searing guitar work is astonishing, some of the best of his brief career. He plays with focused intensity and a powerful grasp of blues tradition.

  • Artikel Interview James Raymond 17-11-2016

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: AUSTRALIAN BLUES/ROCK GUITARIST, HAMISH ANDERSON, ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE, “BREAKING DOWN” WITH PREMIERE ON ALL THINGS GO -------------- Australia-born, blues-rock artist Hamish Anderson premiered his new track, "Breaking Down" on All Things Go, who declared, “From soulful strums of a thick bass to near-rockabilly breakdowns, the young artist clearly knows the path from nostalgia to the future.” Anderson is currently on an East coast tour with The Main Squeeze and will be performing on November 17 with Doyle Bramhall II at Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles. “Breaking Down” dials up straight ahead, high energy rock and roll reminiscent of early Kings of Leon -with the swagger of 60s bands like The Kinks and The Who. Produced by 7x Grammy winner Jim Scott (whose credits include Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tom Petty), this new single is an unabashed rocker from start to finish, with a driving bass line and a breakneck drum beat backing up his rhythmic guitar styling The second single from Anderson’s upcoming album due out in 2019, "Breaking Down" follows up the single/video “No Good.” The video premiered on Billboard, who deems Anderson a “singer, songwriter and guitar hero.” That track, which debuted on Relix Magazine, was selected for Spotify’s Official ‘Nu Blues’ playlist. Anderson tells premiere partner, All Things Go: "With my new single, "Breaking Down" I wanted to write an unabashed rocker. I was listening to a lot of The Kinks, The Who and even early Kings of Leon when I wrote it -- that inspired the tone of it overall.
