Tight bond between Opole citizens and region makes this Voivodeship signifi cantly strong among other regions. Due to its treasure landscape and beautiful antique buildings this is the place on Poland and Europe map worth to visit, see and come back… Opole province is the smallest Voivodeship in Poland (9.412km2) inhabited by more than million residents. The capital city is Opole City. Located in south-west Poland, border the Lower Silesia, Łódź, Silesia and Wielkopolska Voivodeships. It’s administratively di- vided into 12 districts and 71 communes. Main waterway of the region is Odra River. Opole has a very long history; it dates back to the distant Medieval Times. Opole was located on the very important trade rout crossing. The city was chartered at the beginning of XIII century and in 1283 it became the Duchy of Opole capital. It was ruled by the Piast Dynasty till XVI century. The best known was Duke Jan II the Good who granted numerous privileges (including the ones protected peasant class against nobility). For ten centuries Opole was under the rule of Czech, Habsburgs, Prussian and Poles. In XIX century industry was growing dynam- ically – especially cement industry. After The Silesian Upraising Moszczanka Opole still left after German side and back to Poland in1945. 3 Opole, the view from the Bolko side Renaissance City Hall as well as “Opolski Akropol” current head- Opole Region has 34 nature reserves and 5 landscape parks. quarters of Opole University deserve special attention. sustainability Article Interregional Diversity of Social Capital in the Context of Sustainable Development—A Case Study of Polish Voivodeships Katarzyna Pawlewicz 1 and Adam Pawlewicz 2,* 1 Department of Socio-Economic Geography, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, 10-720 Olsztyn, Poland; [email protected] 2 Department of Agrotechnology, Agricultural Production Management and Agribusiness, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, 10-719 Olsztyn, Poland * Correspondence: [email protected] Received: 7 May 2020; Accepted: 8 July 2020; Published: 10 July 2020 Abstract: The relationship between social capital and sustainable development challenges is of special importance. However, social capital is a complex phenomenon that is analyzed in different contexts and cannot be investigated with the use of a single variable. Social capital is difficult to define, which is why the selection of variables for measuring social capital can be problematic. The aim of this study was to analyze variations in social capital at the regional level. The study was conducted in Poland, and it covered all 16 Polish voivodeships (regions) where social capital was evaluated based on five measures: civic engagement in political and social life, degree of selfless behavior, sense of security and social confidence, formation of social structures, and the observance of social norms (external factors), and attitudes (internal factors) that foster desirable social interactions. The correlations between the above measures were also determined. Composite indicators of the analyzed measures were developed with the use of the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. The results were used to rank Polish voivodeships and group them into three classes based on the corresponding values of the adopted measures.

  • Financial Resources of Agricultural Manufacturers in Ukraine – Historical Experience and Its Modern Role in Enterprise Management
Education Excellence and Innovation Management: A 2025 Vision to Sustain Economic Development during Global Challenges Financial Resources of Agricultural Manufacturers in Ukraine – Historical Experience and Its Modern Role in Enterprise Management Oksana KRASNIKOVA, Poltava State Agrarian Academy, Poltava, Ukraine, [email protected] Iryna BORYSOVA, Poltava State Agrarian Academy, Poltava, Ukraine, [email protected] Antonina KALINICHENKO, University of Opole, Opole, Poland, [email protected] Anna BRZOZOWSKA, Czestochowa University of Technology, Czestochowa, Poland, [email protected] Abstract The use of historical experience is an important component of the modern economy reforming in Ukraine. The reforms of the second half of the 19 th to early 20 th century are of particular importance. As their immediate result was the creation of an extensive credit system for agricultural producers, which was very effective at that time. The article describes the main types of financial resources used by agricultural producers in Ukraine at the turn of the 19 th and 20 th century. The analysis of statistical data confirms the idea of the extraordinary vitality of small family-owned agricultural enterprises. In such places there has always been the possibility of replenishing a modest budget through both economic activity and handicraft industries, as well as loans of different origins. The use of historical experience can be extremely useful for increasing the competitiveness in both domestic and foreign markets. Keywords : Agricultural Sector, Agricultural Goods Producers, Budget, Financial Resources. Introduction The era of deep and comprehensive economic reforms in Russia, the beginning of which goes back to the period of the abolition of serfdom in 1861 is of considerable public interest.

TECHNICAL TRANSACTIONS 3/2019 ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN PLANNING DOI: 10.4467/2353737XCT.19.032.10206 SUBMISSION OF THE FINAL VERSION: 15/02/2019 Andrzej Legendziewicz orcid.org/0000-0002-9228-296X [email protected] Faculty of Architecture, Wrocław University of Technology Selected City Gates in Silesia – research issues1 Wybrane zespoły bramne na Śląsku – problematyka badawcza Abstract1 The conservation work performed on the city gates of some Silesian cities in recent years has offered the opportunity to undertake architectural research. The researchers’ interest was particularly aroused by towers which form the framing of entrances to old-town areas and which are also a reflection of the ambitious aspirations and changing tastes of townspeople and a result of the evolution of architectural forms. Some of the gate buildings were demolished in the 19th century as a result of city development. This article presents the results of research into selected city gates: Grobnicka Gate in Głubczyce, Górna Gate in Głuchołazy, Lewińska Gate in Grodków, Krakowska and Wrocławska Gates in Namysłów, and Dolna Gate in Prudnik. The obtained research material supported an attempt to verify the propositions published in literature concerning the evolution of military buildings in Silesia between the 14th century and the beginning of the 17th century. Relicts of objects that have not survived were identified in two cases. Keywords: Silesia, architecture, city walls, Gothic, the Renaissance Streszczenie Prace konserwatorskie prowadzone na bramach w niektórych miastach Śląska w ostatnich latach były okazją do przeprowadzenia badań architektonicznych.
