Red Cloud the Chief of Oglala Lakota from 1868 to 1909. He led the Red Cloud's War. He signed a the Treaty of Laramie, and led his tribe to reservation life in 1868. By 1874 General George Custer led a reconnaissance mission into Sioux territory, which reported the finding of gold in Black Hills.

Red Cloud didn´t take part in the Lakota War. However, the war was led by Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull. In 1884, Red Cloud and his family, along with five other leaders converted and were baptized as Catholics by Father Joseph Bushman. Red Cloud still fought for his people even after being onto the reservation. In 1909, unfortunately Red Cloud had passed at the age of 88 on the Pine Ridge Reservation, where he was buried. Interview with Keontѐ Thomas

We learn new dances and different kinds of formations and moves. We even learn to cooperate with each other, said Keontѐ Thomas. He loves to dance to Hip- Hop, Jazz, Contemporary. He plans on dancing even after he graduates high school! Ms. Conwell will continue help him learn his choreography. Dancing isn’t just a great way of exercise, it is also a great way to become inspired, keep calm, and find your own inner peace. Keontѐ plans on dancing with others. He hopes to teach them choreography. Try your best, be who you really are, and go for it, says Keontѐ. He wants everyone that can dance, to just show it and be themselves as they do so! So let’s just show our moves. Gaming Center: Editor: Destiny Avriett Minecraft, one of the most popular video games known for creativity! Mojang was founded in 2009 and is the developer of Minecraft and MInecraft Story Mode! In 2012, video creator Markus Persson, also known as Notch, made $101 million! However, in all total the game made $240 million and is still being sold to this very day! It is great for creativity, and is a suggested video for those with a love for arts and battles! I most definitely enjoy playing the game with others, you can enjoy 2 types of gameplay.

Creative: Build what you want without running out of supplies, and don’t get surprised by the mobs during the forever spooky night!

Survival: Go out and hunt for food, make your own home with limited supply, battle many different creatures throughout the day (if you’re in a cave) or throughout the night (while above ground).

Minecraft Story Mode was created to be exactly like Minecraft, but there’s a twist, YOU choose the ending, of YOUR story! FREE YOUR MIND! FREE YOUR ABILITY! FREE YOURSELF! OKCPS Food for Thought Food Vendor Expo

What caused you to decide to be a teacher / leader? I wanted to make a difference in children's lives. I started in 1994 so about 20 years! The best part of being in education is that every day is different and there is a beginning, a middle and an end! The best advice that I can give students is to get involved in everything!! Chess Club, Athletics, Book Club!!! My latest 'hobby' is remolding houses. I learned how to pour concert countertops, tile floors, and texture walls! Plus crocheting. I went to UCO for my BA in psychology and M.Ed in education and OU for M.Ed in educational administration. What is the biggest challenge you have had to overcome? Geez, good question... I think its developing more patience and actually listening to students and trying to solve the problem. Chess Sponsor: Mr. Green
