ANNUAL REPORT 2020-21 Hari ANNUAL REPORT 2020-21 Hari Om! Good evening to everyone. My Humble pranams at the lotus feet of Poojya Gurudev. I feel honoured to extend a hearty welcome to all the distinguished dignitaries and to one and all present. It is with great pleasure and pride that I present this annual report to showcase our progress in terms of various activities & achievements made during this academic year. With pride let me put forward the results of the class 10 &12 CBSE board examinations. In the AISSE (Std X) 2019-20 batch, out of 142 students 20 students secured A1 in all subjects & 57 students secured above 90%. ABHIJITH RAJEEV was the school topper with 98.4%. In the AISSCE (Std XII) 2019-20 batch, out of 120 students, 13students secured A1 in all subjects & 108 students secured distinction. From Science stream, K ADITHYA KRISHNA with 98.8% is the school topper and ABHIRAM LOKANATHAN with 99% is the school topper from the Commerce stream. COVID-19 changed the world of education dramatically, forcing schools to shut across the world. But I‟m proud to say that we rose to the occasion, starting the academic year for classes 10 &12, on-line in the month of May. In June we began our online sessions for classes 1 to 9 & for the KG section. With virtual meetings & classrooms becoming the norm in the new socially distanced setup, CHINMAYA VIDYALAYA, TRIPUNITHURA adapted, trying to reduce the stress levels of students feeling socially isolated, by encouraging them to participate and celebrate online. To help children get back in touch with our culture and tradition, the teachers designed various programmes which ensured active participation of the students. June 5th the Environment day was celebrated by sharing a video presented by the class 12 students. From the month of July Class Assemblies become a part of the routine to celebrate and observe the important days. Gurupoornima was celebrated on 6th July. The virtual classrooms of Chinmaya Vidyalaya , Tripunithura reverberated with the Ramayana chantings from16th July which marked the commencement of the sacred month. The culmination of the month long celebrations was on 16th August . The Vidyalaya commemorated the Kargil Vijay Divas on 26th July. Sanskrit day was celebrated on 3rd August. PoojyaGurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji's 27th Mahasamadhi day was observed with all its serenity on 3rd August. Quit India Day was observed on 9th August . The 74th Independence day of our Nation was celebrated with great patriotism on August 15th following the Covid protocol .The virtual platform served a dais for the students also to be a part of the celebrations. Investiture Ceremony was conducted on 17th August . The newly elected leaders sworn in through the virtual meeting .Parents administered the oath and pinned the badges. Vinayaka Chathurthy was celebrated on 22nd August. National Sports Day was celebrated on 29th August The Onam celebration was conducted over Zoom meetings, on the 27th and 28th of August for all classes and turned out to be a big hit as appreciations flowed in from all areas. Teachers‟ Day was celebrated on 5th September .Mrs.Vijayam.S from the Dept. of Hindi the proud recipient of The Award of Excellence for the Best Teacher of the year 2019-20. On the occasion the Vidyalaya management appreciated the staff for being as resilient as the teachers had to change their mode of operation online. Sree Krishna Jayanthi was celebrated virtually, yet colourfully by the students on 10th September. Hindi Day celebrations were conducted on 14 th September with great enthusiasm and pride. The ozone day was observed on 16th September. The students presented a spectacular programme based on Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi and International Peace Day on 21st September. Grand celebration events were organized on on-line to commemorate the 151st birth anniversary of the „Mahatma‟on 2nd October. A special assembly was organised by the students on October 9th , the World Postal Day. UN day was observed on 24th October. To rejuvenate mind, body and spirit, Navarathri was celebrated by the students on 26th October. National Unity Day was observed on 31st October. CHINMAYA FEST for the academic year commenced on 2nd October and came to an end on 30th November. Kerala Piravi was celebrated on 1st November, with plethora of events . National Education Day was celebrated on November11th. The Vidyalaya celebrated Children's Day & Diwali on 14th November. A Google meet which was conducted for students of Class 1 -12 made the students enjoy the day in excitement. On 29th November Trikkarthika was celebrated. We hosted the 23rd Interschool Oratorical contest on Saturday 12th December. Our school team won the ever rolling trophy. On 13th December we observed the Narayaneeyam Day. Mathematics Day was celebrated on 22nd December. The Vidyalaya organised vibrant online Christmas celebrations on 23rd December, class wise on google meet. Gita Jayanthy Day was observed on 25th December. Students welcomed 2021 with sheer bliss and delight. National Youth Day was celebrated on 12th January . The 72nd Republic day was celebrated in the Vidyalaya on 26th January 2 observing Covid- 19 Protocol. Mr.Abhiram Lokanathan & Mr.Adithya Krishnan ( School Toppers 2019-‟20) were the Special Invitees. Mahasivarathri was celebrated on 11th March . The Principal & Vice Principal along with the Academic Co-ordinators of the respective sections addressed the parents of all grades on-line. Open houses were conducted on-line for all the classes. Our Vidyalaya was the examination centre for NEET & NDA exams this year. In the vast and diverse field of education, staying updated forms a vital parameter to enhance the process of teaching and learning. The Principal, Vice Principal and all the faculty members attended numerous workshops on subject enrichment, skill development ,on-line learning etc.. The Principal has taken a session on Ethical Practices of Teachers in the webinar, Vidya Vritty conducted by Central Chinmaya Mission Edn. Cell. The Principal was one among the panellists in a panel discussion on„Blended Learning- best techniques to adopt‟ conducted by Edumate TV The Principal was part of the Assessment Team appointed by CBSE. The Principal had shared a message in theTimes Of India on the topic "Schooling in the Time of Covid”. In Kalasamanvaya ,a webinar conducted by Chinmaya Viswa Vidyapeedh, 3 of our teachers, Mrs. Nita P Menon, Mrs. Kanchana. V& Mrs.Lekha Rajeev were invited for presentations on Art Integration. Mrs. Lekha Rajeev(Dept. of Physics) presented a talk on Energy Conservation, Necessity & Steps to be taken in the AIR Kochi FM as part of Saksham 2021 - an initiative by Petroleum Ministry to create awareness on Green & Clean Energy. Mrs. Ragitha.B ,Student Counsellor of the Vidyalaya conducted a session on School Counselling for the students of Mahatma Gandhi University School of Behavioural Sciences. Mr.Narayanan Kutty from the Dept. of Music presented the prayer in the Life ,an Aradhana webinar conducted by Central Chinmaya Mission Education cell. In the Navarathri celebrations of Guardian Public School, Puthencruz, Mrs.Anitha Kumary. P. P,(Dept. of Malayalam) was invited to speak on the importance of the day. Various awareness and career guidance sessions for students also were conducted during the academic year. All the confirmed teachers of the Vidyalaya successfully completed the Foundation Vedanta Course conducted by Chinmaya International Foundation and honoured with certificates . ACHIEVEMENTS Our talented students brought laurels to the Vidyalaya by participating in various Competitions conducted on-line this year. In Esperanza -Interschool competition conducted by CV, Kannamaly , our school won the second runner up trophy. [The participants are Abhinav Rajiv Panickar, Joshna M J , Shreya Asok , Niranjana Prakash , Veeksha Anand , Athira Rajesh , Nakshatra N Menon ,Sreenandana C S , Vyshnavi M V , Theertha Girish , Nandaja Varma , Vani Menon , Mariya Saara Jolly , Ajay Krishna ,S.Narayanan Devika Manoj] In the Global online celebration -Tapo- Geeta Jayanthy Fest conducted by Chinmaya Mission , 11 students of our Vidyalaya Participated chanting the 18th Chapter of holy Geeta. Our team bagged the Second prize in Gyan 2021, an Interschool T - Shirt designing competition based on Mathematical symbols conducted by Cochin Refineries School on 23rd January.The team members are JOSHNA M J &ABHINAV RAJIV PANICKER of class 8. Abhinav Rajiv Panicker also won the third prize in Bottle Art Competition conducted by Namboodiri‟s college of Teacher Education. In Technozarre 2021 conducted by Chinmaya Vidyalaya Kottayam, our students bagged various prizes. The participants were Ashwin .S (11th), Devika R Menon (7th) and Kshithy G Nair (4th) Our school team won the ever rolling trophy in the 23rd Interschool Oratorical Contest which was hosted by the Vidyalaya on Saturday 12 December 2020. Our team members were, Vysakh M S (9 A) and Nayana Roopesh (10 A). 18 students from 9 different schools participated. Vysakh M S won the first best speaker award. Aishwarya S of class 9 has secured A + grade for her great performance in the All India Swachh Bharat Art Competition conducted by National Education & Human Resource Development Organization. In the South Zone National Junior Athletic Championship, Gopika Sunil of class 10 won the Bronze Medal in the Shotput event (under 18 girls category). She won the first prize & set a new record (12.32 m) for the under 18 Shot Put competition in the Ernakulam District Athletic meet . In Kerala State Athletic Championship also she won the first prize. Gopika received a certificate from Asia Book of Records for participating in the record event “maximum number of people practising the diamond yoga pose for 5 minutes on a virtual platform. Our blooming cine artist Aditya R Menon‟s new film INSHA is hitting the theatres on March 19 . Ernakulam Sub Junior Boys Team Won The 3rd Position In All Kerala NetBall Championship.

    ANNUAL REPORT 2019-2020 “The main object of education in my opinion is the establishment of a twofold harmony in every individual- harmony within his own self and harmony with other living beings in the whole world.” so said Dr. Rajendra Prasad. This is precisely our aim at Adarsha, to bring out perfectly balanced individuals at peace with themselves and with the world. Namaste and a happy evening to everyone. It’s my proud entitlement to place before this well thought of gathering our 31st school Annual Report. I compliment my dedicated team of teachers and non-teaching staff whose boundless enthusiasm & bolstered eagerness embrace all activities and have kept our institution in the forefront consistently. The following are the perfect forays we have tracked in both scholastic and co-scholastic spheres. ACADEMICS Pursuit of excellence with sincerity & perseverance is what we strive for. Academic excellence merited high positions by students in the AISSE & AISSCE circuits. Our students secured 100% results in the X and XII streams. Aiswarya Ramesh was the Fourth in the list of National Toppers and the school topper with 495 out of 500. Of 146 students who registered for the AISSE, 15 secured A1, 130 secured distinction and 16 students got first class. 63 students Secured A1 in English, 10 in Malayalam, Sanskrit and Hindi, 41 in Mathematics, 51 in Science 67 in Social Science and 1 in FIT. Of 111 students who appeared for the AISSCE, 13 students bagged A1 in all subjects, 86 secured distinction and 25 scored first class. Darsana R topped with 494 out of 500 in the Humanities stream and positioned as the State Third and National Sixth in the Toppers list.

Sreeja of Department of Chemistry attended a workshop on ‘Physical Chemistry’ by Dr. Ananthapadmanabhan and ‘Chemistry without Chemicals’, by Dr.Susmita at Vidyodaya School, Thevakkal. Smt.
