Update – Town Council Meeting 15th February 2021

Agenda Item 5c Local Plan It has been brought to my attention that a link in our current Statement of Community Involvement (2008) is broken- this link originally directed you to the Local Development Scheme page in our former Local Plan website (before our webpages became incorporated into the Council’s website).

The consultation running until 1 March is to comment on the Statement of Community Involvement.

As my emailed letter of the 8 February stated, a new Local Development Scheme has been agreed by Members on the 4 February. That document is with our Communications Team and should be imminently uploaded to the website, with the former LDS removed, to the above web link. Although the SCI consultation letter was also seen as an opportunity to alert interested parties that the LDS has been updated with the timescale for the review of the Ryedale Plan. The new LDS will soon be viewable at https://www.ryedale.gov.uk/planning/planning-policy/supporting- documents/local-development-scheme.html

In an ideal world, it would have been better to have had the new LDS on the website with a direct link to it on the letter, but since it was not on the website at the time the letter needed to be sent, I did not add the link to that document- only that link to our existing SCI for people to comment on ways to change/improve it- as that was the subject of the consultation.

The link which is used in the Helmsley Town Council agenda is both defunct and to a document which is not being subject of consultation. But as Helmsley Town Council wish to discuss the Local Development Scheme the document will be available at the above link above very soon.

I hope that this explains the situation. I apologise for any confusion.

Kind regards, Rachael Balmer Mrs. Rachael Balmer BSc (Hons) MTP MRTPI

Agenda Item 5d

Footpath Current Line Proposed New Number shown by solid Line shown by lines dashed lines 25.45/5 A - B A - G 25.45/10 D – E J – K – L - E 25.45/4 C - B D – H – G - B 25.45/4 M - N M - N

The proposals are mostly due to river erosion and also to move the ford to its current position. It is likely that there will be some renumbering of footpaths, if the proposal is successful.

Agenda Item 10a Questions are greyed out till previous answer is put in – 1. Does the Council support having a permanent legislative power to hold remote meetings? If you ticked ‘yes’ to question 1, please tell us your reasons for supporting the permanence of the power for remote meetings generally. 3. Does the Council support having a permanent legislative power to hold hybrid meetings? 4. If you ticked ‘yes’ to question 3, please tell us your reasons for supporting the permanence of the power for hybrid meetings 5.
