The goal is to provide students with an understanding of fundamental principles of life with an emphasis on the human body. An essential part of the course is a discussion of health issues of general interest, such as infectious, autoimmune and neurodegenerative diseases; asthma and allergy; nutrition and health; stem cells research and cloning; and methods of contraception and reproductive technologies.
