SOURCE WIKIPEDIA @ MARK VII M FACTS & SPECIFICATIONS Jaguar MARK VII M -1956 Born on May 1st, 1956 in Coventry, England the Jaguar MARK VII M is an original 6-seater given the nickname „Big Cat“. Around the time when Jaguar was a company manufacturing mostly handcrafted high quality luxury cars like Bentley where you can find a quite similar look on the models. SPECIFICATIONS I The Jaguar MARK VII M is TÜV-certified until 02/2017 and was technically checked by TÜV in 2015.According to the information of the owner before (Christian Gloe, Head of ATARI Games Hamburg) the car has now 97.500 km on the tachometer. Inspections and TÜV were done at Meilenwerk (Jaguar, Mr. Gross) and friends. I was a manager at VW Group and lead several dealerships where I got to know the best experts to service the MARK VII M. The service included yearly full premium clean up of chrome, wood (Walnut) and leather (Connolly) done by professionals as well as change of oil. The Jaguar owns an Art Decor Blue Light Dashboard lightening and a Blaupunkt Car CD Player hidden in compartment. A 3-gear Borg Warner Automatic and the 3,4 L, 6-cylinder „Reihenmotor“ engine with 190 HP gets you up to 170 km/h. To secure smooth and fast driving the MARK VII M has a kick-down function. The car is manufactured in right-hand drive (RHD) configuration and has a mileage of 14 L on the outskirt and 18 L in the city. SPECIFICATIONS II As I come from the car business I carefully and professionally checked the car before I bought it. I purchased the car with first paint and invested over 15.000 € in new paint and parts. Insurance and taxes are about 400 €. So far i had no problem to get any parts. I still got all parts that i needed from England. You recieve articles, photos and car valuations about the MARK VII M that i got from the previous owner. Additionally you get a documentation of service invoices, qualified professional renovation including paint, an appropriate CD with photos of the renovating process and the car manual. All important car part addresses are included in the documentation as well. I assured that all repairs and parts are of perfect quality and done best. I sell the car because I did not drive it sufficiently and i also currently invest in my entrepreneurship project. • William Lyons - Jaguar's Founder by François Prins
William Lyons - Jaguar's Founder By François Prins William Lyons took a small sidecar manufacturing business and developed it into a prominent World-wide Company in a few years. One of the few 'names' that still resound in the world of automotive manufacturing is that of William Lyons. We know Ford, Renault, Citroen and Benz, as these names are still to be found in the car business. Other once famous names, such as Olds, Riley, Austin and Morris have disappeared. Very few people now remember who those pioneers were, but Lyons is still remembered as Jaguar; these two are synonymous. Although he died in 1985 his legacy is still regarded highly by the current Design Department at Jaguar. Indeed, the present Director of Design, Ian Callum, often looks at past Jaguar models to keep the 'Lyons- Jaguar DNA' alive. How did Lyons exert such an influence on a brand? He was a charismatic person, single-minded and certainly strong- willed. Tremendously hard-working Lyons expected his staff to do likewise. He surrounded himself with exceptionally talented people who were just as keen on the enterprise as he was. They may not always have agreed with the Boss, but they were loyal, both to Lyons and to Jaguar. Early Days In any account of a life one must start at the beginning. William Lyons was born on 4 September 1901 to William and Mary (née Barcroft) in Blackpool. William Senior was a musician and ran a music shop where he sold and repaired pianos. According to some, most of the pianos in Blackpool passed through William's hands at some time or another.
