The past few years have shown me that the world is filled with persons that they make the hardships of traveling worthwhile just to get to know them. The journey that led to this thesis began in many ways in the Oñati International Institute for the Sociology of Law (IISL). This process was not planned but the dialectics of top-down policies and bottom- up initiatives have been the force that shaped the neighbourhood for the past three decades. As being both the Jewish Quarter and the Party Quarter of Budapest, Inner-Erzsébetváros is the most controversial area of the historic city centre of Budapest. The Jewish Quarter is a symbolic space, as most of the representative places of the religious institutional system are located there, and also a space where Jewish culture is present in a commodified way both for Jews & non-Jews and tourists & locals alike. The Party Quarter as an accumulation of bars, nightclubs and eateries is a recent phenomenon of the 2010s. Such function of the neighbourhood is a result of unregulated service hours and a growing number of party tourists. In this context, the main research question – How does the Jewish heritage contribute to the present-day character of Inner-Erzsébetváros – provides a framework to the thesis. Two complementary sets of methods were used to answer the research question(s): (1) online desk research & stakeholder and expert interviews, and (2) perceptions mapping & in-depth field observation.

González-Zapata3, Nancy Babio4,5 and Barbara Vizmanos2* Abstract Background: While dietary patterns (DPs) enable the combination of foods that make up a person’s habitual diet to be known, little is known about the DPs of health sector professionals. The objective of this study was to describe the DPs of healthcare students and professionals and assess their association with sociodemographic, lifestyle, anthropometric and biochemical characteristics. Methods: Cross-sectional design. A sample (n = 319) of healthcare students and professionals in apparent good health who studied or worked at the University of Guadalajara (Mexico) was selected. A semiquantitative food intake frequency questionnaire validated on a Mexican population was administered. Questions covering sociodemographic factors, smoking habits and physical activity were asked. Weight, height, waist circumference, blood pressure, triglycerides, glucose, HDL-cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol and total cholesterol were also measured. DPs were generated from a principal components analysis of 25 food groups, and associations were analyzed using logistic regression adjusted for age and sex. Results: The majority of participants were younger than 29 years (84%), women (71.2%) and students (59.6%). Three DPs were identified:

    Roger Boase 512 María de Velasco (c. 1467-1549), Pinar’s Juego trobado, the Carajicomedia, and the mystery of King Fernando’s death Roger Boase (Queen Mary, University of London) María de Velasco was the second of the women satirised as an old prostitute in the highly obscene Carajicomedia (st. 20, Varo 162), and was later a target for the more subtle humour of Francés de Zúñiga’s Crónica burlesca del Emperador Carlos V (115). She was the foster-mother of St Ignatius Loyola (1491-1556), the founder of the Jesuit order, who entered her large household in 1496 when he was five years old. The father of the future saint was Beltrán Yáñez de Oñaz y Loyola, an impoverished Basque relative of hers. This court lady was a niece of Bernardino Fernández de Velasco, Constable of Castile, a daughter of Arnao de Velasco (d. c. 1492) and María de Guevara, and the wife of Juan Velázquez de Cuéllar (c. 1469-1517), Lord of Villavaquerín (1508), Chief Accountant of Castile, and governor of the fortresses of Arévalo, Madrigal, Olmedo and Trujillo. Juan Velázquez inherited from his father Licenciado Gutierre Velázquez de Cuéllar (d. c. 1493) the office of Chief Justice of Soria and the task of looking after the palace at Arévalo where Isabel de Portugal, Queen Isabel’s mentally disturbed mother, lived until her death in August 1496. His mother, Catalina Franca (d. 1496), was a Portuguese lady in the service of Isabel de Portugal. He himself was born in the palace at Arévalo and educated at the royal court.
