Macy's and The Research Foundation(R) Partner to Fund a Cure With Exclusive Limited-Time Only Fashions

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- This October, women -- survivors and those affected by breast cancer - - will be unified by the power of pink as they honor and celebrate month. Macy's (NYSE:M), The Great American Department Store, and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation(R) (BCRF) will once again join forces to draw attention, raise awareness and generate funds in the fight against breast cancer. Macy's stores across the country will support the movement by offering exclusive pink fashions, cosmetics and home merchandise. To further harness the power of pink, INC International Concepts and Ellen Tracy were invited to create two pieces exclusively designed for Macy's.

According to the American Cancer Society, more than 200,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer (Stages I-IV) will be diagnosed among women in the , resulting in approximately 40,000 deaths per year. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, after lung cancer. Through various partnerships and joint efforts, Macy's maintains a steadfast dedication to finding a cure. This year's program is targeted to reaching customers in every aspect of their lives.

This October, many Macy's vendors will think pink, with a percentage of the sales going directly to BCRF and other worthy organizations for the cause. INC International Concepts has proclaimed pink to be the color of the season, thanks to its Pink & Pearls dress. This classic and simple sheath is perfect for work and for play - day and night. Available at select Macy's stores and on macys.com, Pink & Pearls will sell for $99, with 5 percent of each sale going to BCRF.

Ellen Tracy employs the power of words to uplift and inspire women affected by breast cancer with a specially-designed pullover. This traditional t-shirt will retail for $29.50 with 10 percent of each sale going to BCRF. The shirt will be available at select Macy's stores and on macys.com

In addition, Macy's and macys.com customers will also support the cause as each purchase of the following products will result in a donation to BCRF: Sketchers' Pink Shape-Up sneaker; 's Lip Trio key ring and Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion; 's Pink Shimmer Brick; Estee Lauder's Evelyn Lauder Lip Collection; Michael Kors' Very Hollywood; ' Peace of Mind; and Lab Series and Donna Karan's Cashmere Mist and Be Delicious.
