PARKS & RESERVES
Hastings district has over 160 reserves and open spaces, including city, neighbourhood and rural playgrounds, sports fields and parks, to natural green spaces and road reserves. There are more than 55 hectares of sports fields, 185 hectares of reserves, 160 hectares of domains, 10 hectares of gardens and shrub beds and some 8,000 trees!

Hastings City has over 20 schools within the city and surrounding neighbourhood and over 50 across the district, including Primary, Intermediate, Secondary and Special Needs Schools. Hastings also caters to those who are sports mad; With a new Sports Park as well as many different sports clubs across Rugby, League, Netball, Cricket, Badminton, Taekwon-do and more!
