WHERE TO MEET Your trip meets in the Salt River Canyon on Highway 60 between Mile Markers 292 and 293. You will cross the Salt River Bridge at the bottom on the canyon, the road drops quickly so if you start going back up, you missed us. Turn left immediately after crossing the bridge onto a dirt road (watch for our sign). Follow the dirt road about 100 yards and look for the Wilderness Aware signs and office trailers in the parking area on your right.

From Phoenix, go to Globe on Hwy 60 East. Go all the way through Globe to the AZ-77/US-60 E junction going toward Show Low. This left turn is at a stoplight, watch for the McDonald’s on your right and a Super 8 on your left. Once you are on Highway 60, it is 45 minutes to the river.

From Tucson, take Hwy 77 North. As you enter Globe veer left onto AZ-77 N/US-70 W to the first major intersection. At the stoplight turn right onto AZ-77/US- 60 E going toward Show Low. Once you are on Highway 60, it is 45 minutes to the river.

RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICIES CANCELLATION: If your group or any person in your group cancels their trip 10 or more days before departure, you will receive a full refund on your trip cost less $5 per person. If your group or any person in your group cancels within 10 days prior to departure, for any reason, there will be no refund issued. TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE: You many purchase insurance on your reservation for a minimal fee, approximately 10% of your trip cost. This is purchased PER PERSON, PER TRIP. If you choose to purchase insurance, you may cancel up to 24 hours before your trip departure with no penalty on my trip cost. If you cancel within 24 hours but with at least 1 hours’ notice, we will issue you a gift certificate (rather than a cash/credit refund) that is good through the following season. Gift certificates cannot be extended beyond their expiration date. If you cancel within 1 hour, there is no refund. Insurance is nontransferable, nonrefundable and does not cover no-shows. DRUGS & ALCOHOL: We do not permit the consumption of drugs or alcohol before or during any of our day trips. No refund will be given to those who are under the influence prior to their trip. PREGNANCY: We do not allow guests that pregnant to participate in rafting. LIABILITY RELEASES Each person rafting will be required to sign a liability release form prior to trip departure. Each youth under the age of 18 years old will need a parent or guardian to co-sign their liability. TIPPING: Tipping is appropriate, particularly if you have received exceptional customer service. We always appreciate hearing from you so that we can recognize extraordinary customer service and we also appreciate hearing from you if you feel that there are areas that we can improve upon. We strive to exceed your expectations!

IF YOU ARE LATE FOR YOUR TRIP: To provide our guests with the best possible customer service, we attempt to launch our trips on time. We operate in a remote location with a small staff and if you are late, it is possible that your trip will have launched and no one will be at the office. Due to the extraordinary logistics and limited seating on our trips we cannot offer full or partial refunds for any reason. Please plan your travel times accordingly.

WEATHER: Daytime highs in the are typically mild with highs ranging from 65 to 90 degrees. Chances of rain or a late season cold front necessitate planning for a full range of weather conditions. Wetsuits are available at the put-in if the weather is cool or the water levels high.

NON-SWIMMERS: Many of our participants cannot swim. We provide U.S. Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices designed to float you face-up in whitewater. Personal flotation devices are required to be worn at all times.

HELMETS: Helmets are required and provided on the Salt River.

DAY GEAR: Each raft is equipped with a waterproof bag for any small items that you may need during the day.

DRINKING WATER: We do not carry drinking water on your raft and recommend you bring your own bottle. Water bottles can sit on the floor of the raft.

RETAIL STORE: We have a small selection of retail including last minute items such as sunscreen and waterproof cameras. Plan to check out our t-shirts, hats and souvenirs after the trip.
