• To travel to Paris Montparnasse you will need to take the metro. Metro tickets can be purchased in the buffet-cars (carriages 4, 14, 24). Price per person, one-way: €1.60. We advise you to purchase your metro ticket on board Thalys, as the ticket desks at Paris du Nord can be really busy and there is no price difference. But, be quick, availability is limited. • Walk to the end of the platform to the main hall when you arrive at Paris du Nord station. • Follow the (M) signs and take the stairs down. • Continue to follow the (M) signs when you get to the bottom of the stairs. When the signs start indicating line names, follow the (M) (4) line (purple line). • Go through the gates (hang on to your metro ticket) and follow the signs (M) (4) in the direction of Porte d’Orleans. • Take the train to the 14th stop: ‘Montparnasse Bienvenüe’. • Follow the signs ‘Trains Grandes Lignes / Sortie’. Use the moving walkways (if the middle lane is travelling in the right direction, it is advisable to use this one as it moves faster). • Use your metro ticket to open the gates. • Use the escalators and go up a few floors (remain following the signs ʻGrandes Lignes’). • Finally, walk on beneath the large departure message board to get to where the platforms are located. • As the trains are long, please keep in mind that it may take you five to ten minutes to walk the length of the platform to your carriage. • Keep your TGV train ticket ready for inspection just before boarding the train.
