Character Voice type Description Title role, leader of the twelve disciples, called the "Son of God" and Jesus Christ tenor (A2–G5) the "King of the Jews." Judas Iscariot tenor (D3–B5) One of Jesus' twelve apostles; concerned for the poor and the consequences of Jesus's fame.

Mary Magdalene mezzo-soprano (F3–E♭5) A female follower of Jesus who finds herself falling in love with him. Governor of Judea who foresees the events of Jesus's crucifixion from Pontius Pilate baritone / tenor (A2–B♭4) beginning to aftermath in a dream and finds himself being presented with that very situation. bass (C♯2–F4) High priest who sees Jesus as a threat to the nation. Fellow priest at the side of Caiaphas who is persuaded by Caiaphas countertenor (G2–D5) Annas into seeing Jesus as a threat. Peter baritone (A2–G4) One of Jesus's twelve apostles; denies Jesus three times upon the night of Jesus's arrest to save himself. Simon Zealots tenor (G3–B4) One of Jesus's twelve apostles; urges Jesus to lead his followers into battle against the Romans. • Dance workshop auditions - • Sun 2nd May – 12 to 12:45pm, or • Sat 8th May – 12 to 12:45pm

• There will be a tap dance in the show

• If you wish to be a part of dance ensemble you will need to take part in the dance workshop auditions – please indicate this on the online audition form

• As a member of this tap dance group you may wish to be only in the tap item or you may wish to audition for ensemble or BVs as well – please indicate this preference on the online audition form Superstar Pit Singers

• There will be a number of Pit Singers in the orchestra pit

• The precise number will depend upon the audition results and vocal arrangement requirements, as determined by the Music Director and Vocal Team

• Pit Singers who do not wish to be part of the performing ensemble should indicate this preference at their audition Superstar Rehearsals

• First rehearsal – 31st May and then every Monday and Thursday thereafter

• Most rehearsals will be at the Nowra School of Arts or Annexe

• Closer to showtime we will move to the Nowra Showground building

• A rehearsal schedule will be published in a cast Facebook group

• You are expected to attend all rehearsals to which you are called

• Some extra rehearsals may be called on Sundays closer to show dates Superstar Auditions This is what you have been waiting for … • Auditions will take place at the Nowra School of Arts • Sunday 2nd May – 10:00am to 4:00pm • Saturday 8th May – 10:00am to 4:00pm • Sunday 9th May – 10:00am to 4:00pm • Call Backs (if needed) will be Sunday 16th and / or Monday 17th May

• You must provide am MP3 backing track on a thumb drive

• The maximum length of your audition should be 3 - 4 minutes

• You will need to prepare a song that shows your vocal range and ability, but not from

• Judas needs to prepare a rock song that demonstrates the vocal range and power of your voice

• Jesus and Mary will need to prepare a song that demonstrates both range and dramatic ability Superstar Auditions How to book an audition -

• Complete the online audition form

• The audition form will be closed off Friday 30th April at 5pm

• You will be emailed or messaged your audition timeslot based on your preference indicated on the application form. The emails / messages will be rolled out progressively from tomorrow onwards, with first in, first served for available slots

• The audition form is broken into 30 minute slots. There will be 3 auditions available in each 30 minute slot. You may be any time in that 30 minutes

• Arrive at the School of Arts 15 minutes before your allocated time

• Please bring a passport sized photo of yourself, to be used by the audition panel during the casting process Superstar Casting

• The audition panel will cast the show according to the talent demonstrated during the auditions

• There is no pre-determined casting preferences towards any individuals or groups

• The audition panel will be open to various styles or interpretations for any given role

• It is AMTC policy for all cast, crew and orchestra members to have a completed Working With Children Check within 4 weeks of the start of your involvement in the show. Superstar Questions
