Palmer signs worldwide record deal with BMG

Carl Palmer, among the most renowned drummers in rock history and a founding member of both ELP and ASIA, is embarking on an all-new version of his popular EMERSON LAKE & PALMER LIVES ON! live show; a musical celebration of the groundbreaking group, ELP.

Never one to stay idle after performing 141 shows in 2017, Palmer will nd kick off the tour on the YES CRUISE TO THE EDGE February 2n through th February 8 . On the cruise, Palmer’s ELP Legacy group will also be performing alongside Steve Hackett’s Genesis Revisited; Marillion, and others. Palmer and th his group will return on March 8 to embark on a West Coast U.S. tour which begins at the Fox Tucson Theater in Tucson, AZ. and concludes at The Rose, in th Pasadena, CA on March 25 .

th The US tour resumes on April 18 in Bethlehem, PA and concludes with three shows in Florida as special guests of The Alan Parson Project. In May, they will play a series of shows in Brazil, and the group is currently being booked for additional US dates during the summer and fall of 2018.

“My group, the ELP Legacy has never played or sounded better,” says Palmer. ”There is a synergy that comes with gigging nearly non-stop, which was case in 2017. Now, with the revised show and the addition of some of the ELP epic pieces the fans will be witnessing something special.”

The tour comes with the international release of a DVD/ CD combo featuring Palmer’s 2016 Pictures At An Exhibition tribute to (that featured Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, Vanilla Fudge keyboardist and vocalist Mark Stein and drummer David Frangioni, who made guest appearances) and the band’s Live In The USA CD. The official release of these titles will be th issued by BMG Music on April 27 . BMG has recently seen widespread success with its limited edition Emerson Lake & Palmer box set and the company’s re-issue of the entire ELP catalog.

In addition to Palmer’s compelling stage show, the tour will also highlight his collection of fine art, recently done in conjunction with California’s Scene Four Art Studios. Palmer recently created three new images: Welcome Back (dedicated to Emerson); Lucky Man (dedicated to Lake) and Heat Of The Moment (dedicated to the late of ASIA). The images in these collections are the result of collaboration between Palmer and the acclaimed Los Angeles Art Team, Scene Four and feature a series of signed and numbered prints of stunning visual images constructed by capturing rhythm. The images combine motion, color, and lighting into some of the most compelling fine art visuals ever created. View the Palmer art collections at www.CarlPalmerArt.com.

As with his previous solo tours, Palmer presents bold, new arrangements of the best-loved instrumental music of ELP, and other composers. A multimedia experience combining music and video projection, the show promises to be among the most musically compelling tours of the year. Carl Palmer ELP Legacy is a red-hot power trio that features Palmer on drums and percussion; guitarist Paul Bielatowicz and bassist Simon Fitzpatrick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAuCHGifvqY
