The show was then aired on Bulgarian National TV the following December 30th, 2013 and it is now presented in its entirety to the fans as a powerful witness of the line-up featuring original members John Wetton, Carl Palmer, Geoff Downes along with Sam Coulson on guitar. Legendary drummer and musician, Carl Palmer, has announced his first round of live shows, marking the return to live performances after a nearly two year hiatus as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic. Kicking off on Wednesday, September 1st., at Daryl’s Place in Pawling, NY, the initial run of shows will conclude on Sunday, September 12th., at the Orange Blossom Opry, in Weirsdale, FL. The initial US tour will be followed by Palmer’s European tour, before he returns for a second run of US dates in October and November. “The band and myself are very eager to get back on stages in America, and around the rest of world, where possible,” said Palmer. “The show will have some material we have not played in years, as well as ELP’s best loved material. Visually, we will include footage in the show that reflects the highlights of ELP’s career. We are hoping all will go as planned with the many shows we have in place between now and mid- November.” In addition to Palmer, the band still features Paul Bielatowicz on guitar and vocals; and Simon Fitzpatrick on bass and Chapman stick. Carl Palmer, who was voted by ROLLING STONE as one of the 10 Greatest Drummers of All Time, is a founding member of EMERSON LAKE & PALMER and ASIA.     THE PUBLISHED MUSIC OF KEITH EMERSON: EXPANDING THE SOLO PIANO REPERTOIRE by GIUSEPPE LUPIS (Under the Direction of Richard Zimdars) ABSTRACT The study examines the published music of Keith Emerson (b.1944) and includes solo piano transcriptions of thirteen of his compositions. Emerson’s music was published on three continents over a period of thirty years (1975-2005). Because almost all of it is currently out of print, a need exists for a cataloguing and a rediscovery of his music. The work is in five chapters. The first, a short biography, examines Emerson as a composer. The second addresses the importance of Emerson’s music. The third covers the sources of Emerson’s published compositions and a performance and recording history of Emerson’s music performed by pianists other than the composer. The fourth chapter surveys thirteen compositions which appear as solo piano transcriptions in the fifth chapter.
