Applications, scholarships, grades, it can be a bit overwhelming knowing where to start. Fortunately, parents and students are not alone. Counselors at both the high school level and college level are ready to guide families through the process to find a perfect fit. “You need to start with classes in the ninth grade,” said Viewmont High School coun- selor Karen Findley. “Take as many rigorous classes as you think you can handle and focus on math. As the week began, the Davis boys basketball team had played three region games. Meanwhile, Bountiful, Viewmont and Woods Cross had yet to begin the Region 5 battles. That all changes this week. With only five teams in Region 5, the Braves, Vikings and Wildcats had an extended preseason. The three teams opened up league play on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Davis rebounded from a 0-2 start in Region 1 and got its first league win Courtesy PHotos of the season last week.
