There were two items of unfinished business; the Group History, and the Bungay Memorial Marker. Since the last "Journal", I have received word from The Battery Press that they have obtained a copy of the book and are doing a "project survey", presumably to test the market. Inasmuch as there seems to be progress, no further action was taken. The proposal carried over from the Cambridge reunion to erect a memorial at or near the Bungay airbase was discussed. There appears to be a continuing interest, so Clarence Hooks was appointed as committee chairman and instructed to look into the cost of such a marker and to make recommendations as to an appropriate site. Clarence pledged a sizable amount to start a fund and it is suggested that those who would like to support the project might let Clarence know what he could expect in the way of a later contribution, as this will no doubt influence the quality of the Memorial Marker. Concern was expressed that The Freedom Shrine Documents installed on the memorial should be located where it would be readily visible to tourists and to local eight swivelling panels. residents alike.
