NEW INDIE POP DUO – SECOND SINGLE: LET YOU FADE SINGLE RELEASE FRIDAY APRIL 16th 2021

The single Let You Fade is the second track release from the new Copenhagen-based indie pop duo AMiBA.It is about staying true to oneself and fighting oppression and racism.

Inspired by the expression ‘woke” - a term that refers to awareness of issues that concern social justice and racial justice - Let You Fade presents the state of exhaustion in the midst of struggle. The song is a tribute to all the individuals who constantly channels the power, commitment, and persistence in the fight to resolve issues of social structure. This raises the question: is it fair that such responsibility of change rests upon the individuals, and could the consequences be more destructive to the society as a whole.

Let You Fade, AMiBA

The music of Let You Fade is a massive wall of sound with a distorted driven vocal, wrapped in blip-blop synthesizers and dissonant horns. This is the first song written by the duo and it forms the basis of the personal sound that characterizes the rest of the album VUE, which will be released in May 2021.

AMiBA is the sound of mixing an award-winning film composer (Toni Martin Dobrzanski, BBC, Blockbuster, YBCA) with a radio featured award-winning songwriter (MajaHartnack, Danish Music Award, P3 airplay). Together they have written and produced the music on the album, which in their own words is a patchwork of sound that balances between electro-powerpop, cinematic retro sounds and dreamy Scandinavian tones.

AMiBA tells everyday life stories of different humans and explores topics such as humanity, oppression, and feminism - all wrapped in catchy melodies and poetic lyrics. Each narrative is beautifully enhanced with a visual layer by artist Ali Güleç and his artworks created specifically for each song.
