Purchases. Hair Shackl sheepr efo , from Shetland. Socketed Bronze Axe (PL C, 1), 2f inches long and If inch across the cutting edge. Found between Loans and Troon, at the Muirhead Housing Scheme. Food-vessel Urn of light red clay (PI. C, 3), measuring 5-j inches in height, 6 inches in external diameter at the mouth, 6 inches at the shoulder, and 3 inches at the base. Found in a short cist with the skeleton of a young woman, near Belmont Castle, Meigle, Perthshire, in 1859.

January 1939. Donations. (1) Cinerary Urn, together with part of a flint knife, a bone object, and urn of unusual form, found together in an old gravel pit at Outerston Hill, near Temple, Midlothian.
