Blue Featured at Sundown Film Festival

TOPEKA, KS—, starring , will be featured at the Sundown Film Festival 9 p.m. Friday, August 8, outdoors on the grounds of the Kansas Historical Society. Movie goers can listen to music by the Ukulele Club of Lawrence and learn to hula dance at 7:30 p.m. and compete in a hula hoop contest at 8 p.m. The first 50 people will receive a lei. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. Admission to the movie is free. Popcorn, candy, soda, and water will be available for purchase. The Kansas Museum of History will be open 5 - 8:45 p.m. Admission to the Museum is $8 adults, $6 students. Kansas Historical Foundation members and children five and younger admitted free. If rain is in the weather forecast, the event will be moved indoors to the lobby. The Historical Society is located at 6425 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka. Blue Hawaii is the third of four movies in the lineup of the 2014 Sundown Film Festival. The fourth and final film, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, will be shown September 12.
