January 15, 2016 PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Parents, report cards were mailed out recently with Quarter 2 and Semester grades for each of our students. Please check your mailbox for this report. It is important that you review semester averages since several of our courses are not year-long courses and therefore final grades. BIG REMINDER TO PARENTS OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: 15% of final course averages will be based on a final exam for the year. Therefore, current averages above an 80% means the student is in good standing. Thank you for helping make our school the top in the nation’s best. Our teachers are outstanding at providing our students ample opportunities for success. GO TEACHERS!! GO STUDENTS!! GO PARENTS!! --Principal, Joel Garcia ______OPERATIONS CORNER

Spotlight: Noah Pereida, 11th grade The junior team is proud to recognize Noah Pereida. Noah Pereida is a true joy to teach, whether he’s drawing free body diagrams in AP Physics or analyzing Gatsby in AP English. Noah works hard at everything he does and seeks to improve. He isn’t afraid to speak up in class, and our discussions are always richer for his brilliant insights. He balances a full AP schedule with online coursework. One of the most incredible things about Noah is his humility: He doesn’t realize how truly wonderful he is. Thank you for brightening our days, Noah. ______
