Hillsdale College to Be Featured in Two National Broadcasts, Including Coverage of CNN Presidential Debate

HILLSDALE, Mich. – Nationally syndicated host Mike Gallagher will broadcast The Mike Gallagher Show — heard nationwide on the Salem Radio Network (SRN) — live from from 9 a.m. to noon ET on Sept. 15, 16, and 17. On the evening of Sept. 16, Gallagher will moderate a focus group of Hills- dale undergraduate and graduate students after the CNN Republican Presidential Debate.

SRN is the exclusive national radio distribution source for the CNN debate, which features Gallagher’s SRN colleague Hugh Hewitt on the panel alongside moderator Jake Tapper and co-panelist Dana Bash.

At selected times during the SRN’s pre-debate coverage, as well as following the debate itself, Gallagher will offer remote cut-ins with reaction to the debate from Hillsdale students. Additionally, he will feature selected members from the Hillsdale focus group on The Mike Gallagher Show on Sept. 17.

“We’re proud to host Mike Gallagher and the Salem Radio Network on campus, and we’re happy that some of our students will have the opportunity to participate on Mike’s show,” said Dr. Larry P. Arnn, president of Hillsdale College. “At Hillsdale, American history and the Constitution are important parts of our large and rig- orous core curriculum, so these students will bring a useful perspective to the post-debate commentary.”

Tom Tradup, vice president of news & talk programming for SRN, states: “We are grateful to Hillsdale College for their hospitality during this historic debate broadcast, as well as the opportunity for Mike Gallagher to share the views of Hillsdale’s students—the next generation of American leaders—with his national radio audience.”
