Medwest provides a quality experience to clients at an affordable cost to their business

1. Using our web based applications and security overlays which assists our clients’ businesses in being HIPPA compliant. It does so by taking a paper-driven business and converting it to a paperless environment, from point of service all the way to billing.

2. Using Medwests’ solutions helps prevent potential fraud. Our providers can document the date and time of service by the time & GPS location at the point of care. Medwest takes documentation a step further by capturing the patient’s signature electronically right at the time of service. Medicare fraud and abuse is a problem everywhere and Medwest offers a qualified solution & support center to help providers and consumers know what precautions and steps are to be taken for protection.

3. Medwest reduces one customer’s AR aging from over 45 days to less than 21 days. Clients are able to create faster and better documented billing by using our application’s software. Instead of taking 30 days from the time of service using a paper system, our clients are able to properly invoice the next day.

4. Using Medwest software and databases that are in place helps to increase employee morale for both drivers and office workers by providing a more relaxed, less stressful work environment.

Medwest Routes

The Medwest Routes application is cloud-based software targeted at the public transit demand response market, such as Para transit scheduling and dispatching companies. It includes optimized scheduling, booking, dispatch, billing services with smartphone mobile data terminals that is offered as a Software as a Service (SaaS). Public transit needs the state-of-the-art, reliable, scalable cloud based solution that Medwest Routes provides. SaaS removes the capital expenditures required for software license fees and computer infrastructure. This results in a cost effective and easily deployed solution for all size agencies and removes a barrier to automation for smaller operations.

Medwest Routes includes all of the features of more expensive solutions including:

Optimized Scheduling – taking into account the patient requirements (ambulatory, wheel chair, or stretcher needs) and appointment time, the transport vehicle’s capacity, the drive time, and funding source requirements or limitations

Detailed Customer Demographics – including service eligibility and authorization

Recurring Trips – robust support for recurring or subscription trips, including suspension, additions and easy holiday rescheduling

Real-Time Dispatching — sends the driver’s schedule to the driver’s phones with the GPS location of each vehicle and the driving time and distance to scheduled pickups and drop offs. Real-time updates to the drivers and the dispatchers show where the drivers are at all times.

Automated Billing – billing module accommodates multiple funding sources and pay rates.

The advent of the smartphone along with the build-out of cellular data networks is revolutionizing all businesses that have a mobile work-force. The Medwest Viewer driver smartphone applications take advantage of this technological revolution with an easy-to-use and convenient smartphone application that drivers love. Medwest Viewer Mobile provides a real-time manifest, two-way messaging, GPS tracking, map visualization, routed directions and turn-by-turn directions, and a “Tomorrow” function. It’s everything that a costly in-vehicle Mobile Data Terminal provides, at a fraction of the cost.

Smartphones

•Real-time manifest – Both driver and dispatch see changes to schedules in real-time. The driver receives alerts on the smartphone as schedule changes occur. Schedule changes include add-ons, cancellations or changes to the order of pickup and drop-off events. Dispatch sees the status of events change as they go from “scheduled” to “arrived” to “performed.” Special “Cancel At Door,” and “Cancel No Show” statuses allow dispatch to acknowledge and confirm driver cancels, thereby mitigating missed trips due to miscommunication.

•Two-way messaging – Drivers can send messages to dispatch and dispatch can send messages to drivers. The acknowledgement of messages is tracked and displayed for both dispatch and driver, eliminating the uncertainty of whether or not the driver received a message. Dispatch can send messages to one or multiple vehicles at once.

•Real-time GPS tracking – GPS coordinates and heading information are transferred every minute and are accessible from dispatch. Historical GPS data is available indefinitely.

•Routed directions and turn-by-turn directions – Both route map display and textual turn-by-turn directions are available to the driver, plotting the current location to the destination.

•Tomorrow function – Special “Tomorrow” function allows the driver to see information for the first pickup event of the next day, helping to ensure correct “pull-out” times.

Map

•Automated Optimized Scheduling – the Automated Optimized Scheduling Algorithm creates an optimized schedule, minimizing dead-head distance and overall distance traveled while maximizing revenue miles.

•Template Scheduling – Template schedules provide a “snap shot” of a schedule that can be applied to future days. This feature allows for the arrangement of trips on a vehicle to be “cookie cutter,” or duplicated day after day.

•Manual Scheduling – Medwest Viewer allows for “shopping” or “point-and-click” manual scheduling for cases in which a specific schedule is required. Innovative map visualization provides an easy review of any schedule for visual confirmation.

•Same-Day Scheduling – In a same-day scheduling situation, the scheduling algorithm takes into account the current location and on-time performance of the available vehicles before providing possible solutions for unscheduled trip requests.

Real-Time Dispatching & Scheduling

The day-to-day operations of a Medwest Transportation business can be stressful. The customer-base consists of people with special needs, and there can be constant schedule changes with cancelations and trip add-ons, as well unforeseen traffic and vehicle issues. The dispatch function of Medwest Viewer aids in settling this sometimes chaotic situation by providing total fleet visibility and real-time fleet communication.

Real-time

•Fleet Visibility – The dispatch screen and the driver’s smartphone application work in concert to provide real-time GPS positions and heading information. This is not simply “a dot on the map.” The dispatcher sees the schedule as it is performed. Arrive and perform times are instantly seen along with proximity information regarding those pickup and drop-off events. Special “No-Show/Cancel-At-Door” work-flow allows the dispatcher to work with the driver to confirm such cancel situations.

•Fleet Communication – Two-way communication between dispatch and the fleet is provided with the use of canned and on-the-fly messages. Messages from the driver are confirmed on the dispatch screen as they come in. Messages from the driver can be associated with particular events (pickup or drop-off), providing additional insight.
