  • Raheel Sharif Follows the Same Policy Towards India As Nawaz Sharif, As Both Follow American Dictates
F Raheel Sharif Follows the Same Policy towards India as Nawaz Sharif, as Both Follow American Dictates News: An Indian Navy officer, working for India's spy agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), was arrested in Balochistan, Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti revealed on 24 March 2016. Confirming the arrest, Bugti said that the RAW officer, identified as Kulbhushan Yadav, was arrested from Balochistan three days ago. “The Indian spy was in contact with Baloch separatists and members of religious organizations involved in stoking sectarian and ethnic unrest in the province,” he said. Asim Bajwa, Director General of ISPR, said that Yadav's goal was to sabotage the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor through propaganda—with Gwadar port as a special target. Bajwa said, “There can be no clearer evidence of Indian interference in Pakistan,” and added that Yadav’s activities were nothing short of state-sponsored terrorism. Comment: News of the arrest of Indian RAW agent, Kulbhushan Yadav, was presented in some sections of the Pakistani media in a way to show that the military side of the Raheel-Nawaz regime, led by General Raheel Sharif, is seriously hunting Indian agents, whilst the political side of the regime, led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is negligent, as for many days Nawaz Sharif did not even comment on this important issue. The mouth pieces of Raheel in the media explained that Nawaz has a soft corner for India, as America wants normalization of relations between Pakistan and India, so that is why he has not reacted to this very important development, whilst Raheel Sharif is safeguarding the national interests of Pakistan.

The rebel group was led by Barrister Sultan Mehmood, a former prime minister of AJK and a leading contender for the post after the 2011 elections in AJK. He lost the opportunity to Abdul Majeed then. With PML-N taking over the government in Islamabad, the faction led by Sultan Mehmood saw it as an opportune moment to topple the AJK government and seize power with the help of the PML-N members in AJK assembly.

People’s Republic of China (PRC) officials, military officers, and civilian analysts use the strategic strongpoint concept to describe certain strategically valuable foreign ports with terminals and commercial zones owned and operated by Chinese firms.1 Each case study analyzes a different port on the Indian Ocean, selected to capture geographic, commercial, and strategic variation.2 Each employs the same analytic method, drawing on Chinese official sources, scholarship, and industry reporting to present a descriptive account of the port, its transport infrastructure, the markets and resources it accesses, and its naval and military utility.

    - 377 - Bi-Annual Research Journal “BALOCHISTAN REVIEW” ISSN 1810-2174 Balochistan Study Centre, University of Balochistan, Quetta (Pakistan) VOL. XXXVI NO. 1, 2017 Makran in the Democratic Process of the Elections in Pakistan Social Sciences and Humanities Mumtaz Ali1, Dr. Muhammad Alam2 Abstract Elections are the part of democratic society which needs to run and promote the democratic values and system. As far as Makran is concerned it is quite clear that this region always remained political and democratic. This society is structured on kinship basis. All decisions are made at household level and no tribal structure is present to make collective decision. Communal leadership is a function of aged people in the community. In this article, I will analyze the electoral behaviours of the people of Makran, and then compare the different election results of Makran region. Key words: Democratic Process, Electoral Behaviour, Electoral Politics, Legislative Body, Makran Introduction Balochistan is a largest province of Pakistan. It is spread over 347000 km, and divided into 8 divisions. Every division has different history during the election process. One important division of Balochistan is Makran. This division consists of three districts Panjgur, Kech and Gwadar. This division performed a different role in every election than other parts of Balochistan. Makran actively participated in every local, provincial and national election and changed its representatives from time to time. On the other hand the rest of Balochistan mostly continued the hereditary system of the representatives. Elections Modern nations have big states with huge territories and populations. It is really impossible for the public of such states to gather at one place for political matters.
