Subject: Ms Moore will talk about the scholarship nonprofit she founded for children aging Darlena Moore is president of Gilbert out of foster care. Scholarship, Inc, which helps youth aging out of March 26th the foster care system obtain a college degree. Franchon Francees - Moore, a former foster youth, created the Wilmington Cape Fear scholarship in honor of her own foster parents, Meeting Richard and Mary Gilbert of Asheville, NC. The Speaker: Franchon Francees scholarship is need based and awarded yearly Subject: Connections among to a student/students who have spent time in communication, emotional foster care. intelligence, and expression to overall wellness and healthy The Gilbert Scholarship, Inc. is a 501c3 non- workplaces. profit dedicated to providing college funding for April 2nd youth aging out of the foster care system. No Meeting April 2 - Good Scholarships are $1500 each. This non-profit is Friday located in Wilmington, NC. and currently serves students at Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington and Wake Technical Community Birthdays College in Raleigh. The objective for this non- profit is to add as many scholarships and colleges as is possible for youth from foster Jim Morton care, by growing financially through donations March 17th and grants. Christian A Bolz March 23rd The President of Gilbert Scholarship, Inc., Darlena Moore, aged out of the foster care Kyle M Mitchell system and named this scholarship in honor of March 26th her own foster parents, Richard and Mary W. Berry Trice Gilbert who dedicated their lives to youth in the foster care system. To date, 20 Gilbert Scholarships March 27th have been awarded to students at these community colleges. Robert S.
