Don O’Leary Sales Director, UK & Ireland, Twitter

Don joined Twitter 2012 to help launch the Twitter advertising products across Europe. Prior to Twitter, he worked in Google’s International HQ. Before the world of online advertising, Don developed software for a number of startup companies in San Francisco, but also worked as a mechanical design engineer in the aerospace industry in Los Angeles. In his spare time Don develops mobile apps with over 5 million downloads on the Android market.

Magnus Ternsjö CEO, UPC Ireland

Magnus Ternsjö is CEO of UPC Ireland, and is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, operational management, and corporate development of both UPC’s residential and business divisions in Ireland. Previously, Magnus was Managing Director of UPC Broadband’s DTH business (UPC DTH S.a.r.l. in Luxembourg), a premium Central European DTH operator covering 4 countries, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania. Denis Kennelly VP Development & Technology, IBM Security Systems

Denis Kennelly is VP of Development & Technology for IBM Security Systems where he leads the world wide team developing IBM Security products and Threat research. Prior to Denis’ appointment to VP Security Systems, he was VP of Development and CTO for the IBM-Tivoli Network Management Product Portfolio. Denis has 25 years experience in both the Telecommunications and IT industries. During this time, Denis has helped define and develop both network and service management products in a number of different industry segments. Denis joined IBM through the acquisition of Vallent Technologies which specialized in Cellular Network Service Assurance software and was acquired by IBM in February 2007.

Jeetu “J” Mahtani, is a Managing Director at HubSpot, a marketing software company, where he is responsible for driving HubSpot’s growth in Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. Jeetu launched HubSpot’s international operations and under his leadership has grown HubSpot’s customer base outside North America to over 1000 customers.

Richard Munro Technical Director for vCloud Hybrid Service, EMEA, VMware

Richard Munro is the Technical Director for vCloud Hybrid Services, EMEA at VMware. Richard joined VMware in March 2012 to lead the solution architecture practice responsible for working with VMware’s strategic alliances that cover cloud transformation and End-User Computing. Prior to this he was Technology Strategy Director for Atos – a top five global systems integration firm. Richard is also a certified Enterprise Architect and is married with three children. He enjoys reading, sailing, rock guitar, snow- boarding and cycling.

Avril Ronan Global Programme Manager for Internet Safety, Trend Micro

Avril is responsible for the global management of Trend Micro’s Internet Safety programme. As the largest independent cloud security organisation, Trend Micro, is committed to making the world safe for exchanging digital information. In Ireland, Avril has spearheaded the firm’s drive to ensure Internet Safety for Families and Kids (ISFK). The programme has reached more than 40,000 parents, teachers and young people nationwide, through the delivery of cybersafety training programmes and peer-led training delivery. Working closely with the Webwise, the Department of Education & Training, An Garda Siochana, Facebook, Twitter, and a number of related online and national and regional youth groups, Avril and the dedicated team of over 50 trained Trend Micro volunteers, have created a hugely successful model for digital safety, “Be Smart”. The model is focused on raising awareness through education, parent, teacher and youth advocacy and this programme is now being rolled out worldwide. Dr Nicola Millard is a customer experience futurologist with BT. Nicola isn’t actually a technologist and combines psychology with futurology to try and anticipate what might be lying around the corner for both customers and organisations (sadly, her crystal ball is currently broken). She was involved with a number of BT “firsts” including the first application of intelligent systems into BT’s call centres and BT’s initial experimentation with home working.

John Scanlan Vice President of Operations: Flextronics Global Services and Solutions

Simon Walsh Enterprise Security Director, Trend Micro

Simon is an Enterprise Security Expert working out of Trend Micro’s Cork Operations Centre, responsible for advising organisations across EMEA how to best secure their data and business in a rapidly and constantly evolving IT and threat landscape. Simon has worked in IT security for more than a decade and has a wealth of experience supporting, managing and influencing some of the world’s largest organisations’ IT security needs.

Peter O’Neill Managing Director, IBM Ireland.

Peter O’Neill is Managing Director IBM Ireland. He was appointed to this position in May 2010. Prior to taking up this role, Mr. O’Neill served as Director of IBM Sales and Distribution in Ireland. He joined IBM in 1981; during his IBM career he has held leadership positions in sales, finance and general management in both Europe and America. Prior to joining IBM he worked for five years in Diageo Ireland. He is a Board member of the American Chamber of Commerce and was President of the Chamber in 2012. He sits on the National Council of IBEC. He is also a Board Member of Oxfam Ireland. He has previously served as a Board Member of the Irish Research Council and of the Board of the City University Trust.

Brona Kiernan CIO, Irish Times

Having worked with Accenture, Ryanair (where she worked for 12 years on the transformation of Ryanairs IT systems) and CPL, Brona is currently Chief Information Officer at , a position she has occupied since February 2009. In 2005, Brona was awarded the Irish ICT Professional of the Year Title. She is also a recognised Fellow of the Irish Computer Society.

Colm O’Regan Comedian, bestselling author and broadcaster

Comedian, bestselling author and broadcaster, O’Regan has stood up and made people laugh all over the world. Colm’s debut book “Isn’t It Well For Ye, The Book Of Irish Mammies” is already a bestseller and was nominated for an Irish book award. It sprang from the equally successful @irishmammies twitter account which Colm authors. Set up in early 2012, the account has more than 120,000 followers making it one of the top 40 accounts in Ireland. David Coleman Clinical Psychologist, author, columnist, broadcaster

David Coleman is a practising clinical psychologist. He specialises in working with children, teenagers and their families. He is probably best known for the range of television programmes he has presented dealing with childhood struggles, teenage angst and other aspects of family life. David is also a bestselling author of ‘Parenting is Child’s Play’ a guide to raising young children. His second book is a guide for parents of teenagers called ‘Parenting is Child’s Play: The Teenage Years’. David’s latest book is titled ‘The Thriving Family’. Dónal Ó Buachalla Principal, Gaelcholáiste Mhuire, Cork

Dónal Ó Buachalla, Principal (and past-pupil) of Gaelcholáiste Mhuire in the North Monastery, Cork or the “A.G.” as it is better known, is a former President of National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals (N.A.P.D.), the voice of Principals and Deputy Principals in the 723 post-primary schools in Ireland. Donal is currently Chair of N.A.P.D./D.E.S. Inspectorate Pilot Project on Instructional Leadership; Chair of the Board of Management of Gaelscoil Ui Riordáin; a member of the outgoing City of Cork VEC Adult Education committee; a member of the initial working group on Teacher Induction and various local and national NAPD sub-commitees.
