Consulting, public speaking and independent advice for a range of clients (governmental and non-governmental organisations, private sector, academia, non-profit) focussing on human rights, democracy, the rule of , EU affairs and international justice.

Increased ratifications of Rome Statute and closer cooperation with UN SC, US SG, US, AU, Arab League and OAS. - Certifying Officer in charge of human resources and budget for Judiciary (90fte). Improved budget implementation rates and institutionalized system of staff training. - Staff/budget/administrative oversight, including court-wide strategic planning, full budget cycle, auditing, human resources, management control. Implemented system of strategic planning, cost accounting, set up independent Audit Committee and integrated 100 million budget with risk management cycle. - Judicial and legal matters, such as appeals, agreements with governments and regional organizations (immunity, enforcement of sentences, relocation of witnesses). Supervised team that negotiated 6 bilateral, 5 regional and one NGO agreement (ICRC) with ICC.

Environment investment advisor, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) (1995), London: Set up and managed fund for environmental project financing. Liaison with other International Financial Institutions and Global Environment Facility for financing environmental investments ranging from hydropower to waste.

Environmental project manager, TACIS-program (EU assistance to the former Soviet-republics, 91-94), Brussels: projects included emergency aid to refugees in Azerbaijan and Black Sea Environmental Program.

Recipient Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland For exceptional merits in developing Polish-Dutch cooperation and activities aimed at supporting Poland’s accession to the European Union (awarded by the President of Poland in 2014, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Poland's accession to the EU).
