After 99% of the votes were tallied, Likud gained a seat for a total of 36, with the rival Blue and White party also increasing its power from 32 to 33.

    I CAMBIAMENTI DELLA 21A KNESSET E LA NUOVA-VECCHIA MAGGIORANZA DI NETANYAHU* di Enrico Campelli** ’analisi del quadrimestre gennaio-aprile 2019 non può prescindere, relativamente all’ordinamento israeliano, da uno studio della recente tornata elettorale del 9 aprile, che, secondo quanto riportato dal Comitato Elettorale L Centrale, ha visto una affluenza del 68,46% degli aventi diritto e un totale di 4-340.253 voti validi. I molti risultati delle urne hanno infatti sancito, con una buona dose di prevedibilità, la vittoria del Likud di Benjamin Netanyahu, che, con 1.140.370 voti validi ricevuti (il 26,46%), ha già ottenuto dal Presidente Rivlin il mandato per la formazione del suo quinto mandato, il quarto consecutivo. Proprio a causa degli avvenimenti che avevano decretato lo scioglimento anticipato della 20a Knesset e il ritorno prima del tempo alle urne (le elezioni erano infatti originariamente programmate per novembre 2019), le elezioni politiche appena trascorse si sono trasformate in un vero e proprio referendum sulla leadership di Netanyahu, che con buona probabilità riuscirà a formare il prossimo Esecutivo dello Stato di Israele.
