Dear Friends, As the month of March rolls in we leave a different kind of Purim celebration behind us. Our next holiday which will unfold on March 28th as the first day of Passover with the first seder on the evening of March 27th, a Saturday night – which will present a myriad of other challenges for Passover. It is amazing how many stories have been discovered of how Jews tried to recognize Passover in the various concentration camps. Some were able to smuggle in a matzah board, others just created their own seders with whatever they could muster up. Yad Vashem has a beautiful web site that tells us how Jews celebrated Passover before, during and after the Holocaust. It’s called “And you shall teach your children.” I urge you to take a look at it and perhaps share it with your children, grandchildren or whomevere will be able to join you or you will join for Passover this year. It really hits a chord in terms of how we have to make so many “covid” accommodations this year.
