Jessica Wilkinson took over as head coach of the Marist women’s GENERAL lacrosse team on September 29, 2010. School: Marist College Last season Wilkinsonled the Red Foxes to their sixth straight semi- Location: Poughkeepsie, N.Y. final MAAC Championship, falling to eventual champion Fairfield. Goalie Abby Witczak took home the first ever MAAC Goalkeeper of Founded: 1929 the year award. Enrollment: 4,764 In 2016 she led Marist to a 6-2 finish in MAAC play, the no. 2 seed President: David N. Yellen and a bye in the quarterfinal round of the postseason tournament. The Red Foxes competed in the semifinal for the fifth straight season before VP for Student Affairs: Deb DiCaprio falling to Monmouth. Nickname: Red Foxes In her fifth season in 2015 she led Marist to an 8-9 overall record. School Colors: Red & White The Red Foxes took down arch rival Siena in double overtime to Affiliation: NCAA Division I advance to the semifinals. Five of Wilinson’s student-athletes earned All-MAAC selections and 15 were named to the conference’s All-Academic Team. Conference: Metro Atlantic Athletic In 2014 Wilinson was named Anaconda Sports Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Coach of the Athletic Department Phone: (845) 575- FOXX Year for the second straight season. She led the Red Foxes to a 14-4 overall record and 7-1 mark in the MAAC. The 14 wins broke a single-season program record. Wilkinson and the Red Foxes ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATION claimed a share of the MAAC regular season title as well as the number one seed in the MAAC Tim Murray Tournament. Wilkinson also led Marist on a 10 game-winning streak, breaking the longest winning Director of Athletics: Faculty Representative: Dr. John Ritschdorff streak in program history previously set in 2009. Elizabeth Donohue Wilkinson was an assistant coach at Wagner College prior to taking on the head coaching position Associate AD/SWA/Compliance: Associate AD/Facilities & Operations: Darren McCormack at Marist. She worked primarily with the Seahawks’ defensive and goaltending units while also Andy Alongi serving as the program’s recruiting coordinator. Wagner was an IWLCA Merit Squad in 2009 and an Assistant AD/External Affairs: Assistant AD/Business Operations: Brandon James IWLCA Academic Squad in 2010. Jeffrey Carter Wilkinson was a four-year member of the Marist women’s lacrosse team, playing for the Red Foxes Coordinator of Sports Medicine: Director of Student-Athlete Enhancement: Alyssa Gates during the 2005-08 seasons. She twice rebounded from season-ending injuries to score 42 goals in Aaron Suma 51 career games. Wilkinson totaled 86 ground balls, 51 caused turnovers and 47 draw controls in her Strength & Conditioning Coach: playing career.
