1. ANNUAL SPORTS REPORT 2013-2014

The Sports teams of our college Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Kho-Kho, hand ball, Cricket, Badminton, Ball badminton, Kabaddi, Table tennis, Chess, Athletics, and Taekwondo have brought us glory and medals.

P.Jayalakshmi of III Plant Science, K.Kanimozhi of II B.COM, D.Saranya of II BCS and A.Thamizharasi of I BCS participated in the Inter University Cricket Tournament conducted by University of Karnataka. The team captained by A.Astalakshmi of II Economics was placed fourth overall.

Antony Johnsy Rebecca.D of III Plant Science, Priya.K of I Economics, Suganthi.K of I Plant Science, Amala.A of II History Participated at the Inter University Kho-Kho Tournament at Udupi, Karnataka.

Jhansi Rani.J of III B.com and Eswari.D of II Economics participated in South Zone Inter University Hand Ball Tournament. Eswari.D of II Economics and Bhuvaneswari.S of I History participated in South Zone Inter University Hockey Tournament.

A.Thamizharasi of I BCS. participated in the Inter University Volley Ball Tournament at S.R.M.,Chennai.She along with P.Jayalakshmi of III Plant Science, D.Eswari of II Economics,K.Kanimozhi of II B.com,A.Keerthika of I History,D.Saranya of II BCS participated in the National Volley Ball Tournament at Jaipur.

P.Rajeswari and Antony Johnsy Rebecca of III Plant Science,M.Tamilselvi of III Tamil who won Gold medals at Intercollegiate tournament Participated at the All India Inter University Taekwondo Tournament held at Chennai. P.Rajeswari ,M.Tamilselvi ,and M.Maheswari of III Economics and S.Kalaiselvi of II Tamil,S.Ponni of III tamil Participated in the open National Tournament at Manipur.

G.Shamida Gandhi of II B.C.S was placed first at state level kata and kumite events and she Participated at the Senior National Karate Championship.A.Kafreen Banu of III Physics Participated in the interuniversity Ball Badminton Championship held at Anantpur.Andhra Pradesh.

I would like to make a special mention of G.Aruna of I History who has won the silver medal at the Junior National Badminton Tournament Held at Chandigarh in the year 2011- 12.She participated at the senior national ranking Badminton Championship held recently at New Delhi and she reached the pre quarter finals.

Some of our students have participated in Throw Ball, AttayaPatya and net ball championship at National level tournaments.

2. ANNUAL SPORTS REPORT 2014-2015

The sports teams of our college: Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Handball, Cricket, Badminton, Ball Badminton, Kabbadi, Table tennis, Chess, Athletics and Taekwondo have brought us glory and medals.

I am happy to announce that the following teams have participated in the intercollegiate tournaments organized by the Pondicherry University and brought many laurels to our college. We were winners in badminton and Taekwondo. We got the runner-up in handball, volley ball and ball badminton and we got third place in kho-kho and cricket.

Our Taekwondo team won the overall championship for the continuous third time, with 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals in the intercollegiate tournament held at community college, Pondicherry and the same team represented Pondicherry University and participated in the All India Taekwondo championship held at Chennai.

In addition to this, our students represented the Pondicherry University and participated in the Inter-university tournaments held at various places.

D.Eswari III Economics, J.Jayalakshmy of III B.Com, A.Thamizharasi of III Tamil participated in the South Zone Inter-University Handball Tournament, Periyar University , Salem. A.Mithra , D.Eswari ,J.Jayalakshmy , A.Soundari , R.Ramya participated in the National Handball Tournament held at Punjab. D.Eswari of III Economics participated in the interuniversity Volleyball tournament held at Madras University, Chennai. M.Malar and A.Soundari of III BCS participated in the National Senior Softball tournament. A.Soundharya of II B.Com participated in the National Junior Kabbadi Tournament. M.Malar of III BCS participated in the Inter University Ball badminton championship held at B.S.Abdul Rahman University, Chennai.

I would like to make a special mention of G.Aruna of II English who has won the Gold Medalat the Junior National Badminton and now she is placed in Govt. Sector.

Some of our students have participated in Handball, Attayapattya and Netball championship at National Level tournaments and won Gold medal for Attayapattya.

3. ANNUAL SPORTS REPORT – 2015- 2016

The sports teams of our college: Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Handball, Cricket, Badminton, Ball Badminton, Kabbadi, Table Tennis, Chess, Athletics and Taekwondo have brought us glory and medals.

I am proud to say that our Kho-kho team, Table tennis team have won gold medals at the intercollegiate tournament. Our Volley ball team, Badminton team, Ball Badminton, Handball and cricket team have won Silver medal. Our Basket ball team won Bronze medal. The Taekwondo team of our college won the overall team championship at the intercollegiate meet with 2 Gold and Silver. A number of students of our college have represented the Pondicherry University in the Inter University tournaments.

A.Subulakshmi of III Maths participated in the Inter University Badminton Tournament conducted by SRM University of Chennai.

A.Thamizharasi of III BCS, Poonkodi & Soundarya of III B.Com, M.Ramya of III maths participated in the Inter University Cricket Tournament.

Keerthana of II English & Bhuvana of II B.Com Participated at the Inter University Basket Ball Tournament.

P.Soniya of I I Economics & V.Ravida of I B.Com participated in South Zone ALL India level Foot Ball Tournament held at Madhya Pradesh and won the 5th place.

G.Nagavally of III B.Com participated in the ALL India level Cross country held at Mangalore.

G.Gowsalya of II BCS participated in the ALL India Level Ball Badminton held at SRM university,Chennai , sub junior level held at Rajasthan and National level Ball Badminton , Andhra Pradesh also participated in the All India level Volleyball .

Sivagami of I Comp.Science, K.Anandhi of I B.Com participated in AllIndia level Volleyball held at Andhra Pradesh. G.Shamidha Gandhi of I M.Com participated in the Naional level Karate championship.

M.Hanisha of I French participated in Senior National and Inter-State Table Tennis championship held at Andhra Pradesh and National level Ranking Table Tennis Championship South Zone, Chennai.

I would like to make a special mention of K.Keerthiga of III History who has won the Gold in the Taekwondo Championship.

4. ANNUAL SPORTS DAY REPORT 2016-2017

The sports teams of our college: Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Handball, Cricket, Badminton, Ball Badminton, Kabbadi, Basketball, Table Tennis, Chess, Athletics and Taekwondo have brought us glory and medals.

I am proud to say that our kho-kho, ball badminton, handball, hockey and Taekwondo team have won gold medals at the Inter-Collegiate Tournament. Our Volley ball team, Badminton team, Chess, swimming, Cricket team have won Silver medal. Our Table Tennis team won Bronze medal. The Taekwondo team of our college with a record of fifth time won the overall team championship at the Inter-Collegiate meet with 6 gold, 7 Silver and 8 bronze medals. The rest of the teams put up a good show in the face tough competition.

A number of students of our college have represented the Pondicherry University in the Inter University tournaments.

Ranjitha II History and N.Ranjana II History participated in South zone Inter-University level Hockey Competition conducted by Alagappa University,Karaikudi, Tamilnadu.B.Sivagami III Comp.Sci, J.Sudha II B.Com, P.Soniya II Economics , R.Ramya III B.Com, G.Gowsalya III BCS ,K.Anandhi II B.Com participated in the Handball South zone Inter-University held at Periyar University Salem ,Tamilnadu.

V.Ravidha II B.Com, M.Aruna I B.Com, and G.Gowsalya III BCS Participated in the Ball Badminton South zone Inter-University held at SRM University Chennai, Tamilnadu.

M.Ramya III Maths, P.Ponmathi III Maths and V.Ravidha II B.Com entered the Semi-Finals and won the fourth place in the Cricket South zone Inter-University held at Sathyabama University Chennai, Tamilnadu.

R.Ramya III B.com , P.Brindha II Computer Science, S.Theepiga of II Plant Science ,E.Sunila II Plant science got Gold Medals and S.Pushpalatha II Plant Science , K.Karthigambal II Chemistry got Silver medals in the Puducherry State Taekwondo Championship 2016. R.Ramya III B.Com , E.Sunila II Plant science, K.Karthigambal II Chemistry got Gold Medal and S.Pushpalatha II Plant Science got Silver medal and S.Theepiga of II Plant science got Bronze medal in the Puducherry Regional Taekwondo Championship 2017.

G.Gowsalya of III BCS got the 4th place in the Special Olympic Bharath Unified Table Tennis Championship organised by Special Olympic Bharath , Punjab. 5th place in the Senior National Ball Badminton held at Alva’s Educational Foundation, Karnataka.

All India Tournament Ball Badminton SRM University. Chennai – 8th position out of 86 teams.

In the Inter-collegiate tournament - I place in Handball, Kho-kho, Ball Badminton & II place in Cricket & Volleyball.

D.Soundarya II Computer Science participated in the Junior National Judo championship held at International sports stadium at Saifai, Eta Wah, Uttar Pradesh and also participated in the National Tenni-koti championship, Hyderabad, Telangana.

R.Ramya III B.com entered the Quarter final in the Senior National Throwball championship, held at Rohini, Delhi.

P.Soniya II Economics has won the 5th place in All India Football Competition held at Madhya Pradesh.

K.Bhuvana III B.Com was selected as Manager in the Puducherry State Atyapattya Girls Team held at Dharwad , Karnataka.

P.Gajalakshmi II Maths and S.Adhirai of II B.Com participated in the National level Kho- Kho championship , Maharashtra.

J.Isabel Marie I English, M.Aruna I B.Com participated in the Youth National Volleyball, held at Jaipur and also participated in the Senior National Volleyball championship held at SRM University, Chennai. ---

5. ANNUAL SPORTS REPORT 2017-2018

The Sports teams of our college : Volleyball, Basketball, Kho-Kho, Handball, Cricket, Badminton, Ball badminton, Kabaddi, Table tennis, Chess, Athletics and Taekwondo have achieved a tremendous feat this year.

I am proud to say that in the Inter-Collegiate tournaments conducted by Pondicherry University this year , our students Won GOLD medals in Hockey, Football, Ball Badminton and in Kho-Kho, and has won SILVER medals in Volleyball, Handball, Cricket, Table Tennis secured FOURTH place in Kabbadi.

And in Athletics , A.Jancy II BCS got I place in 400m, 4x400m and in 4x100 m relay, II place in 100m and III place in Triple Jump.S.Nishanandhi I History got II place in 10,000m.

M.Monica I BCS got I place in 4x400m and in 4x100m Relay. E.Sandhya II physics got II place in 5000m.Our BGCW Althletics Team Won the Overall Championship in the ICT, conducted by PU. A number of students of our college have represented the Pondicherry University in the Inter- University tournaments.

Rosi II Eco, Jhansi I BCS and Ravidha II BCOM participated in the Inter-University Cricket Competition held at Bangalore University, Bangalore.

Sivagami III Comp.Sci, Anandhi III BCOM , Sudha III BCOM, Soniya III ECO participated in the South Zone Handball Competition held Kakatiya University, Warangal.

Anandhi III BCOM, Aruna II BCOM, Santhiya II Zoology, Isabel Marie II English and Logeswari II Economics - participated in the Inter-University Volleyball Competition held at Kannur University.

M.Aruna II Bcom, J.Isabel Marie II ENG, K.Logeswari II Eco, Reshma I Comp.Sci – participated in the Senior National Volleyball 2017 and 2018 held at Calicut, Kerala and the same students have participated in the Youth Volleyball held at Jaipur.

K.Santhya II Zoo and M.Aruna II B.Com participated in the Junior National Ball Badminton 2017 held at Andhra Pradesh.

V.Ravidha III Bcom and J.Isabel Marie II Eng - participated in the Senior National Ball Badminton 2017 held at Mangalore.

D.Soundarya II comp.Sci got the Silver medal in the Junior National Tennikoit.

M.Aruna II B.Com and Isabel Marie II Eng - participated in the South Zone Ball Badminton 2017 held at Bangalore.

K.Santhya II Zoo and M.Aruna II B.Com and V.Ravidha III Bcom - participated in the Senior National Ball Badminton 2017 held at Delhi.

I am glad to say that J.Sudha III Bcom, S.Sivagami III Comp.Sci, A.Anandhi III BCom, K.Sandhya II Zoo, Buvaneswari I Eng, Iswarya I Eco - won the I place in the State Level Handball match held at Thennur, Karaikal.

J.Sudha III B.com and V.Ravidha III Bcom participated in the South Zone Handball match held at Andhra Pradesh.

S.Sivagami III Comp.Sci and J.Sudha III B.com participated in the Senior National Handball match held at Thiruvannamalai.

M.Hanisha III French Participated in the ALL India Inter-Collegiate South Zone Table Tennis Tournament at SRM University, Chennai, Participated in the Senior National Table Tennis Championship at Ranchi Jharkhand, won the Runners-up in the NEXUS Inter- Collegiate Sports Festival at SMVEC, Pondicherry, won the Runners-up in the State level Table tennis at Christ College, Pondicherry.

Uma I B.Com, Vidhya II CND, Ashabeevi II English, V.Santhanalakshm II Mathematics , Arthy I Tamil, Gayathri I Computer Science, Revathy of I Tamil - participated in the National South Zone Throwball held at Alandur, Chennai.

S.Agila I History – participated in the Open National Senior Kabbadi held at Bangalore.

R.Vedhayazhini I physics– secured I place in Junior National level Atyapatya held at Redhills, Chennai, secured I place in Senior National level Atyapatya held at Shirdi, Maharashtra secured I place in Senior National level Atyapatya held at Chandigarh, Punjab and also secured I place in State Championship in Atyapatya.

On account of the 50th Year GOLDEN JUBILLEE 2017-18 , we have conducted ICT for 5 competitions and 8 Colleges were invited. In the ICT VOLLEYBALL, THROWBALL, CHESS, BALL BADMINTON, TAEKWONDO Competitions conducted by our college, our college secured I place in all.

In Taekwondo Competition held in our college, our college got 7 Gold medals, 3 Silver medals and 3 Bronze medals. Our College Students WON the OVERALL Championship.
