Marina Sailing Tahiti Vacation April 19-29, 2018 MARINA SAILING TAHITI VACATION APRIL 19-29, 2018 Our Tahiti Sailing vacation includes easy passages in one of the most exotic cruising grounds in the world. We will enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the reefs, swimming and sunbathing on white-sand beaches, and delight in luxury resorts, shopping, and fine restaurants in picturesque anchorages. The longest passage to windward is about 18 nautical miles. The open-water passages from Tahaa to Bora-Bora are simply spectacular! Thursday, April 19: Depart LAX on Air France AF076 at 11:55pm. Arrive Papeete at 5:20am on Friday. Friday, April 20: Depart the airport and taxi over to Le Meridian Resort. This beautiful oceanfront resort features Wellness Center, white sand bottom pool, complimentary snorkeling, kayaking, free WIFI and L’Atelier du Chef cooking lessons, L’Atelier art gallery, helicopter, boat, and 4x4 excursions. Take the bus to Marina Apooiti. Have breakfast at the marina, then shop for provisions. After the chart briefing and orientation, sail to the east side of Tahaa and tie to a mooring off of the Hibiscus Restaurant just inside the Baie Haamene. Relax on board or take a short dingy ride to great snorkeling just North of the Mahaea motu. Plan to join the flotilla for a 5pm party on the lead boat, then dinner at the Hibiscus Restaurant for a Polynesian evening with local music and dancing. Sunday, April 22: Leave early for a 5-hour reach to Bora-Bora’s western shore. We can snorkel off Motu Tapu, and then pick up moorings at the Bora Bora Yacht Club. Dinner tonight at the Bora Bora Yacht Club. Monday, April 23: Bora Bora is one of the most beautiful places on earth and today we explore the island above and below the water including snorkeling, diving, island jeep and moped tours and our personal favorites, the stingray and manta ray tours. We will meet at the Yacht Club for cocktails and dinner. Tuesday, April 24: Leave in the morning and sail to the west side of Motu Toopua and anchor near the Conrad Bora Bora Nui resort. We can swim, snorkel and explore the island. Around 11 am, we can sail north and take the east pass to the lagoon on the east side of Bora Bora to anchor off of Motu Tofari and explore the motu with our dinghies and then sail back to Bloody Mary’s restaurant at the south end of Baie De Povai where we will have dinner. Wednesday, April 25: Sail back around the north end of Raiatea and down the eastern side to Baie Faaroa. We will have a party at 6pm on one of cats and then you can have dinner at La Croix du Sud, a restaurant in the middle of the bay or have a relaxing dinner on board. Thursday, April 26: In the morning, we explore the Apoomao River by dinghy, then sail to Tahaa Island and anchor in Hurepiti Bay on Tahaa’s western shore. Pick up a mooring and check out the Le Tahaa Island resort and spa and enjoy their outdoor dining under the stars. Friday, April 27: Sailing inside the lagoon, pick up a mooring at Motu Tuuahine and enjoy the Vahine Island resort. Saturday, April 28: Sail back to the charter base dock and head for the airport to catch the Air Tahiti flight VT438, departing at 12:55PM, arriving in Papeete at 2:35pm. About us /1 Founded on July 4, 1969, The Moorings started with only six Pearson 35 yachts located in the BVI. 50 years later, The Moorings has revolutionized the charter industry, as well as ownership options within charter programmes. The company now boasts a large number of monohull models from best-selling manufacturer, Group Beneteau. For catamarans the Moorings offers the largest fleet of Leopard Catamarans built by world-renowned builder Robertson & Caine, which is now building exclusively for The Moorings, Sunsail and Leopard Catamarans. www.mooringsyachtownership.co.uk | [email protected] Sunsail started as a small dinghy sailing school in Emsworth, in the south of England. In 1974, the pioneering yachting brand was formed, offering adventure travel initially from Greece, but quickly expanding around the wider Mediterranean and rest of the world. It is perfect for those who have a passion for new and exciting experiences. Sunsail originally built and operated its own yachts, but today enjoys a long standing relationship with Jeanneau for Monohulls and Leopard for Catamarans.
