Discos, Llibres, Pel·Lícules I Més, Amb Reusdigital.Cat Cap de Setmana | Redacció | Actualitzat el 17/05/2020 a les 14:17 Discos, llibres, pel·lícules i més, amb Reusdigital.cat Una sèrie de 'Netflix' sobre la Meca de cinema, un clàssic adolescent dels 80 i la música d'un conegut violinista romanès, entre les recomanacions de la redacció La bona acollida per part dels lectors de Reusdigital.cat de la secció en què durant el confinament us hem estat recomanant tot tipus de produccions culturals ens anima a mantenir-la tot i que ja siguem a la fase 1. D'aquesta manera, i d'ara en endavant, cada cap de setmana us parlarem de llibre, sèries, pel·lícules i discos, entre altres, que ens agraden i que esperem siguin del vostre interès. Marc Busquets recomana '16 velas' Disponible a 'Netflix' des de fa unes setmanes, és un petit clàssic cinematogràfic dels 80. Amb John Hughes rere la càmera (tots el recordem pel film 'El club de los cinco'), fa un retrat d'una noia que fa 16 anys i que veu, amb tristesa, com a casa ningú se'n recorda perquè estan organitzant el casament de la germana gran. Vista ara, amb cert sentit de l'humor, serveix per comparar hàbits dels joves de llavors amb els actuals. La música, la roba i el ritme narratiu conformen tot un viatge al passat amb l'estrella (oblidada, per desgràcia) Molly Ringwald. Isabel Martínez recomana 'Hollywood' Ambició, talent, somnis... Provinents de diferents parts dels Estats Units, arriben a la Meca del cinema actors, guionistes i directors que volen triomfar. La proposta que us faig és una sèrie de 'Netflix' que mostra que el Hollywood daurat va ser mes plural i divers del que ens han explicat. Marià Arbonès recomana el disc ‘Possessed’, de Balanescu Quartet La proposta musical ens trasllada a l’any 1992, a l’àlbum ‘Possessed’ (Mute Records) de Balanescu Quartet. El disc recull cinc adaptacions de cançons conegudes de Kraftwerk, una adaptació més d’una cançó (‘Hanging Upside Down') de David Byrne, i tres temes propis. Escoltar cançons com ‘Das Model’ o ‘Autobahn’ interpretades amb instruments de corda no ha de molestar als acèrrims seguidors del grup alemany, ja que Balanescu Quartet les interpreta amb molta naturalitat i encert. Opino que aquestes versions són quelcom més que un bon homenatge a Kraftwerk. L’àmplia relació que Alexander Balanescu ha tingut amb les músiques pop i contemporània, i naturalment la seva solvència, faciliten molt els experiments com el que tractem. El fet d’explorar nova música va motivar aquest compositor romanès a crear, l’any 1987, Balanescu Quartet, una formació de prestigi que no únicament es dedica al repertori clàssic, sinó que també ha fet costat a David Byrne, Pet Shop Boys, Michael Nyman i Kraftwerk, entre altres músics. Alba Cartanyà recomana el llibre 'Justicia. ¿Hacemos lo que debemos?', de Michael J. Sandel És un assaig en què el catedràtic de ciències polítiques de la Universitat de Harvard i un dels autors més destacats en l’àmbit de la filosofia política, repassa alguns dels principis que regeixen la nostra societat i el paper que hi juga la justícia. Aborda temes com l’eutanàsia, la dissidència o el patriotisme, entre d’altres, que en definitiva estan al centre de moltes controvèrsies polítiques i morals dels nostres dies. Un llibre que dona eines teòriques per entendre, però que també deixa la porta oberta a la reflexió. Cristina Valls recomana el disc 'The light the dead see', de Soulsavers Ja fa uns anys que el cantant de Depeche Mode, Dave Gahan, ha iniciat altres recerques sonores. Ha editat un parell d'àlbums en solitari i ha col·laborat amb altres formacions, tot construint un nou caràcter artístic més proper al 'crooner' que no pas a l'ídol de masses al https://www.reusdigital.cat/noticia/77049/discos-llibres-pellicules-mes-amb-reusdigital Pagina 1 de 2 capdavant del gegant del tecno. Amb la banda Soulsavers, el vocalista ha enregistrat un parell de discos. El primer, 'The light the dead see' (2012), és un brillant i commovedor exercici de blues, rock i gospel. L'amor (i el desamor), el desig, la fe i les arrels són tan sols alguns dels arguments amb els quals Gahan aposta per la fusió de la llum i la foscor. El segon treball discogràfic de Soulsavers amb el cantant, 'Angels and ghosts' (2015), és igualment notable. Pourtant, à ses tout débuts, en 1980, rien ne laissait présager que ce quatuor de jeunes freluquets dominerait encore le monde de la pop en 2018. Moqué pour son look, méprisé pour sa musique sans guitare, Depeche Mode a néanmoins rapidement réussi à populariser une pop synthétique irrésistible, dansante et cérébrale à la fois, faisant résonner des textes désenchantés sur les dancefloors du monde entier – et ouvrant la voie à toute une vague d’artistes new-wave et synthpop. Ce qui fascine surtout, c’est que Depeche Mode, contrairement à de nombreux groupes ayant aussi connu le succès dans les années 1980, a su perdurer. Malgré des épreuves et des tourments personnels, le groupe a traversé les époques en restant au sommet. Il a fait mûrir sa musique en revenant aux guitares – sans jamais renier l’apport des claviers –, il ne s’est jamais laissé submerger par les modes successives – techno, house, electro… Au contraire, Depeche Mode a su renouveler sa pop en y incorporant les sons du moment, en s’entourant de remixeurs et producteurs pointus et dans l’air du temps. Le groupe n’a cessé de sortir des albums solides et cohérents qui, sans prendre une ride, se sont même bonifiés avec le temps. Signe de sa crédibilité, Depeche Mode a d’ailleurs toujours servi de référent et d’influence à ses contemporains, cité autant par les indus Nine Inch Nails que par le psychédélique Jonathan Wilson.

Her work is also strikingly autobiographical, featuring protagonists who resemble her in obvious ways. Though critics have identified many of Gilchrist’s story cycles, one important cycle has been all but ignored: a young poet appears in a number of her stories, and for several of Gilchrist’s protagonists, he serves as a catalyst for needed change.
