Day 03 - Delhi - Jaipur (260 kms 5 and half hours) After breakfast check out and drive to Jaipur, Arrive and check into hotel. A couple of hours to relax, followed by city tour of Pink city of Jaipur. We will visit City Palace in the heart of Jaipur is known for its blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Very close to this is the Central Museum with its huge collection of jewellery, colorful costumes, woodwork, jewellery, costumes, brassware, and pottery. We also see Jantar Mantar, the largest of the five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh. Day 04 – Jaipur This morning excursion to Amber Fort, which is located just outside the city, this is among the most beautiful example of Rajasthani forts and gives a majestic view of the city down below. You can have the Royal experience of traveling on elephant back to and from the top of the hill on which the fort is situated. Assistance on arrival and straight proceed for Allahabad enroute visiting AYODHAYA & NAIMISHARANYA - six miles from Faizabad station is the birth place of Lord Rama. The most sacred place of Hindu pilgrimage at the banks of river Sarayu. Janmasthan, the place where Lord Rama was born is an important spot. There was a beautiful temple. Now a disputed site as Mughal King Babar destroyed this temple in 1520 A.D. and built a mosque on the site. Hanuman Garh (or Gadi) is another important place of worship. Day 07 - Varanasi Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel. Relax for sometime. The holiest of the Indian s cities, Varanasi defies easy description. A highly congested ways of narrow alleys winding behind its water front ghats, at once highly sacred yet physically often far from clean. An as image, an idea and a symbol of s central realties, the city draws the pilgrims from around the world, to worship, to meditate and above all bathe. It is a place to be born and place to die. In the cold mists of a winters dawn you can see life and death laid bare.

The city rises from the high northern bank on the outside curve of Ganga, the holiest of all Indian rivers, to form a magnificent panorama of buildings in many varieties of Indian architecture. The unique relationship between the sacred river and the city is the essence of Varanasi - the land of sacred light. The Ganga is believed to have flown from the heaven to wash away the worldly sins of the humankind. Thus, to be in Varanasi is an out of this world experience, and experience of self discovery, a journey through the present and the past in search of immortality. Day 08 - Varanasi – Bodhgaya (240 KMS /5.5 HRS) Early morning boat ride at river Ganges, The life and activities in the city revolves around the holy river. Life on the banks of the Ganga begins before dawn when thousands of pilgrims -men, women and children, come down to the river to wait for the rising sun. Gradually the sun rises, and the river mists slowly lift to reveal the magnificent buildings that have a solemnity unmatched by any city in the world. Soon after the sunrise, the city's great amphitheatre of ghats burst into activity. In the charged holistic atmosphere of the morning venerable Brahmins (known as Pandas) recite passages from sacred texts, priests dispense holy ashes to pilgrims to mark their foreheads in veneration of the gods. Boatmen, flower seller, shrill- voiced sellers selling sweetmeats and knick knacks, sacred bulls and cows roam around. You can witness all these activities during boat ride.

Later on drive for Bodhgaya enroute visiting Sarnath . Situated 10 km from Varanasi, Sarnath is a place where Budhha delivered its sermon. Being a pilgrimage destination, the tourist’s spots in Sarnath is more revered. The Stupas, Mulgandha Kuti Vihara and the Archeological museum of Sarnath forms good tourists spots to explore. On arrival in Bodhgaya, check-in at your hotel.

Bodhgaya is one of the sacred places for the Buddhists as well as for the Hindus.Where the quest of Prince Siddharth was fulfilled after years of seeking the truth and the saga of Buddha began. Here under the Bodhi Tree, Gautama attained supreme knowledge to become Budhha, the 'Enlighted One'. Day 09 - Bodhgaya Morning visit Mahabodhi Temples - The magnificent temple is an architectural amalgamation of many centuries, cultures and many heritages that came to pay their homage here. The temple definitely has architecture of the Gupta and later ages, inscriptions describing visits of pilgrims from Sri Lanka, Myanmar and China between 7th and 10th century AD. Day 10 - Bodhgaya – Rajgir –Nalanda - Patna ( 115 kms / 2.5 hrs) Morning drive for Patna enroute Rajgir and Nalanda. Rajgir - an important Buddhist pilgrimage center, as the Buddha spent 12 years here. The place where Gautam Buddha meditated and preached. At Rajgir visit Gridharkuta Hill with its famous monastery venuvan Vihar, built by king Bimbisara. Nalanda- 62 km from Bodhgaya and 90 km from Patna, was established in the 5th century AD. It is famous as the ancient university and a rich library. Buddha visited Nalanda several times during his lifetime. But the place became famous as the center of Buddhist learning during 5th to 12th centuries AD. Nalanda is the first residential international university of the world with strength of 2,000 teachers and 10,000 monks' students from all over the Buddhist world. Day 11 - Patna - Vaishali-Kushinagar (253 kms/6.5 hrs) Morning proceed for Kushinagar enroute visiting Vaishali - Set amidst lush paddy fields, 55 km north of Patna, lies the quiet hamlet steeped in legend, Vaishali. Named after King Visala, was the capital of the Lichhavis, and is believed to be one of the earliest republics of the world, having an elected body of representatives and an efficient administration, as early as 6th century BC. Vaishali is significant to both Buddhists and Jains. Lord Buddha preached his first sermon, and announced his impending Nirvana, here. To commemorate the importance of the site, Emperor Ashoka erected one of his famous pillars. Vaishali is also the birthplace of Lord Mahavira. 100 years after the Buddha's 'parinirvana', 700 monks from all over North India, assembled here, to discuss the 10 points of 'vinaya', the rule of conduct, under dispute. Thus, Vaishali became the venue of the second Buddhist council. Two stupas were erected to recall this event. You visit here Buddha Stupa 1,Buddha Stupa 2,Coronation Tank ,Bawan Pokhar Temple. Day 12 - Kushinagar-Lumbini (165 kms/3.5 hrs) Morning visit the Mahanirvana Temple: a serene, tranquil and holy place. Also visit modern Japan/Sri Lanka Buddhist center and monasteries. Later proceed to Lumbini and check-in at hotel. Lumbini is the birth of place of Lord Buddha and has been declared as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. It is small town in the southern Terai plains of , where the ruins of the old city can still be seen. At the age of 84, he left this world with thousands of followers to keep Buddhism alive. The restored garden and surroundings of Lumbini have the remains of many of the ancient stupas and monasteries. Day 13 - Lumbini –Kapilvastu-Sravasti – Balrampur (185 kms/4 hrs) Morning explore Buddhist sites of relevance and drive for Balrampur, Kapilvastu - An important archeological site near Lumbini, Kapilvastu evokes the ancient palace where Lord Buddha spent his formative years. Scattered foundations of the palace are abundant and archeologists have by now discovered 13 successive layers of human habitation dating back to the eighth century BC. Sravasti - Situated in Gonda district, i was one of the six great cities of India in the days of the Buddha. An important centre for trade and commerce, and was junction of two important trade routes, also capital of the kingdom of Kosala, one of the two great monarchies of the 6th century b.c. Maghadha was the another monarchy. The Kosalan rulers extended the boundaries of the kingdom in all directions at the expense of their neighbours. The Sakyas (the clan to which the Buddha belonged) in the Nepalese foothills and the kingdom of Kasi (Varanasi) were also absorbed into the Kosalan kingdom. The most powerful Kosalan king was Prasenjit. However, the imperialist tendencies of Kosala were checked by the rise of the powerful kingdom of Magadha in South Bihar. Day 03 -Rishikesh - Barkot 220km ( drive 7 - 8 hrs ) Depart early for Barkot – lunch en route at Mussoorie. Mussoorie, the queen of hill stations, is well known for its mystic mountains, serpentine streamlets and the marvelous view of the majestic Himalayan ranges. The major attractions of Mussoorie are Gun Hill, Kemty Falls. Restart your journey and reach Barkot in the evening. On arrival check in at the hotel/camp at Barkot . Overnight in hotel/camp. Day 04 - Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot ( drive 32km; trek 14km round ) After an early breakfast to start your journey leave for Hanuman Chatti (drive 32km). Alternately you can take a local jeep to reach Phool Chatti if you want to shorten your trek by 5km. On arrival start your day on a tough trek of 7/12km one way. Arrive at Yamunotri and after a "Darshan" at the temple come back to Phool Chatti in the evening to return to camp/hotel for dinner and relaxation.

Yamunotri: One of the four most important pilgrimages, collectively known as 'Char Dham' of the Garhwal Himalayas. According to a legend a sage, Asit Muni, used to reside at this secluded spot. The prime attraction is the temple devoted to goddess Yamuna and the holy thermal springs at Jankichatti which are 7km. Away. The source of the Yamuna lies a further km. ahead at an altitude of approximately 4421 mts. Day 06 - Harsil - Gangotri - Harsil ( drive 22km one way ) After breakfast leave for Gangotri and on arrival take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganga, the holy Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Gangotri -The shrine of Gangotri is situated at an elevation of 3200 m surrounded by deodars and pines. The Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa constructed the original temple. Every year people from all around the world visit this shrine. Submerged in the river there is a natural Shivling. A days trek takes one to Gaumukh, the source of the mighty Gange Gangotri is the origin of the sacred river Ganges. Along with the thrill of conquering nature, what one experiences here is the mystical aura that India is quite famous for. After rejuvenating and relaxation in the lovely surroundings, return to the camp/hotel in the afternoon to relax and to experience some of the breathtaking views of the beautiful valley. Day 08 - Guptkashi - Kedarnath. ( drive 32km; trek 14km ) After breakfast leave for . On arrival start your journey on the tough trek ahead. Stop for the lunch en route and restart to arrive by late afternoon at Kedarnath and check into hotel. Kedarnath is the holy abode of Lord Siva, one of the 12 Jothir lingas in the country, located at an altitude of 3584 metres on the head of the river Mandakini. This is one of the holiest pilgrimages for Hindus and the temple built by Aadhi Sankara is said to be over 1000 years old with a Garba Graha for worship and a mandab for the assembly of visitors. According to the legend, Lord Siva wished to elude the who had come to seek penitence for having killed their kin in the battle of Kurushetra. Siva took refuge in Kedarnath in the form of a bull. found Siva among the herds and grabbed him from the hind quarters. What remains in the shrine of Kedarnath is the rear end of the bull, with the rest of the body scattered throughout the Garhwall. Lord Siva dived in to the ground leaving behind him a hump on the surface. This conical protrusion is worshipped as the idol, it is the main site of worship in Panch Keda Temple. Day 10 - Guptakashi - Joshimath via Chopta 175km ( 6 - 7 hrs ) After breakfast leave for Joshimath via Chopta, one of the most beautiful sites on the whole trip. From Chopta one can view the majestic peak of Himalays, Enjoy the beautiful drive through the thick forests full of medicinal plants and stop at Pipalkoti for lunch. Day 11 - Joshimath - Badrinath – (Drive 90km) After breakfast leave for Shri Badrinathji, the only dham where your vehicle reaches right at the door step of the temple. No trekking is involved. Badrinath One of the 'Four Dhams' is the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop... On arrival perform the holy "Darshan" and leave for an excursion to the village Mana, which is approx 2 kms from Badrinath, origination of the holy river Saraswati, surely you will be fascinated by the scenic beauty of this place. Day 12 - Badrinath – (Drive 160 kms 6-7hrs) After breakfast drive for Rudraprayag. Where river Mandakini meets Alaknanda. Night stay at Rudraprayag (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 13 - Rudraprayag – Haridwar (166 kms 5-6hrs) After breakfast proceed to Haridwar enroute stop at - the confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi, to form the Ganges. Reach Haridwar by noon and check into hotel. Evening witness the Ganga Aarti at Har-ki –Pauri the main ghat known as Brahmakund, popular legend has it that Lord Vishnu left his footprint. The whole environs echoes with the sounds of conch shells and bells and priests perform ritual worship of the river. Day 14 – Haridwar – Delhi 200 kms 5-6hrs After breakfast drive to Haridwar, city tour of Haridawr Visit Bharat Mata Temple - 4 kms from Haridwar and is a multistory six-floor structure. The ground floor has the exquisite sculpture of Bharat Mata. The temple also contains sculptures of Buddha, Mahavir, Guru Nanak, Kabir, Tulsi Das, Meera, and Natraj. This is a real beautiful temple to see. Mansa Devi Temple -The temple on the top of Siwalik Hills is dedicated to the Goddess Mansa Devi, who was the daughter of Lord Shiva. One can enjoy the splendid view of the city from such a great height. The ropeway carriage operates between Upper Road, and Mansa Devi Temple. It is believed that whoever worships Goddess Mansa Devi, their wishes get fulfilled. Later return to Delhi – Farewell dinner and later drop at the international airport in time to board the flight for home- town with purified minf, body and soul and eternal happiness.
