For two years the Commission worked in the Basilica of St. Bartholomew, collecting approximately 12,000 dossiers on martyrs and witnesses of faith from dioceses all around the world. After the Jubilee, John Paul II wished that the memory of the witnesses of faith of the 20th Century were made visible in the Basilica of St. Bartholomew. A large icon dedicated to the martyrs of the 20th Century was placed on the high altar, depicting the personal stories of the martyrs studied by the Commis- sion, arranged according to the symbology of the Book of the Revelation. The editors thank the Community of Sant'Egidio for permission to reproduce the icon. This task includes proactively sourcing, writing and editing short pieces of information mainly about non-book publications regarding religious freedom and persecution. These are to be continuously and promptly published on the IIRF website and Facebook site at a rate of at least one item per week. The best of these need to be selected twice a year for printing in IJRF. Requirements: We need someone who will do the final editing independently, self-driven and in time. Good competency in English and thoroughness are necessary. Outsourcing of tasks to interns and other volunteers is possible. This position is not remunerated. Some of the contributions in this issue emanate from the In- ternational Consultation on Religious Freedom Research, held in Istanbul on 16-18 March 2013. They have all undergone the usual peer review process for IJRF – includ- ing the opinion pieces. They only represent a fraction of the many papers presented at the consultation. A separate consultation compendium is still being contemplated. The articles fall in roughly three groups: the opinion pieces, research that focuses on various regions and countries and an equal contingent of research on diverse topics relating to religious freedom and persecution. Paul Marshall as a senior scholar in the field of religious freedom research skil- fully reflects in a survey type article on some of the conceptual and methodological problems that he encountered in writing some of the major current reports on religious freedom. Hereby he provides a framework for the other contributions. Thomas Johnson from Prague proposes a philosophical-theologica concept of the

    REVIEW ARTICLES Cults and Families Doni Whitsett & Stephen A. Kent Abstract This article provides an overview of cult-related issues that may reveal themselves in therapeutic situations. These issues include: families in cults; parental (especially mothers’) roles in cults; the impact that cult leaders have on families; the destruction of family intimacy; child abuse; issues encountered by noncustodial parents; the impact on cognitive, psychological, and moral development; and health issues. The authors borrow from numerous the- oretical perspectives to illustrate their points, including self psychology, developmental theory, and the sociology of religion. They conclude with a discussion of the therapeutic challenges that therapists face when working with cult-involved clients and make preliminary recommendations for treatment.     / 17 Coverage of Antenatal Care by NRHM in Regional Newspapers of Assam with Special Reference to The Assam Tribune Arpana Barman * Dr. Arupjyoti Choudhury ^ Abstract National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) has been launched in India with an aim to reduce the Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) of the country. With the inception of NRHM, reduction of MMR is evident across all the States. Despite the decrease in MMR, the State of Assam continues to have higher than the national average. Various strategies have been adopted for curbing the increased MMR of the State including awareness generation through mass media. Print media is one of the sources for carrying health related messages to the masses. The present study is based on the content analysis of the coverage on Antenatal Care (ANC) by NRHM in a widely known local daily newspaper – The Assam Tribune . The concerned newspaper is studied on the content of coverage related to NRHM for a period of one year. It is observed that, in terms of numbers, maximum coverage by NRHM in the concerned paper are related to tender/quotation notices, advertisement for manpower recruitment and audits and bid. In terms of area of the column, maximum column space is occupied by display ads on feature articles, services provided under NRHM and projection of special drives like Mission Indradhanush for, Mission Tejaswi for consumption of Iron and Folic Acid, Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight (IDCF) for diarrhea control, Deworming Day, etc. Coverage of content related to ANC is almost negligible. Advocacy of the media fraternity needs to be strengthened based on the present context for health promotion in mass media.

Th ornton In the predawn hours of 24 April 1999, an unusual group slowly began assem- bling before Zhongnanhai, the highly guarded and gated compound that houses the elite national leaders of the Chinese party-state. Appearing to arrive nearly simultaneously in small bands from all corners of Beijing, they silently congregated before the compound gates and formed a neat grid only a few blocks from famed Tiananmen Square, the site of the massive student demon- strations that had been brutally suppressed almost exactly ten years earlier. By noon, the crowd had swelled to over ten thousand and occupied at least three streets surrounding the perimeter of the compound, with most participants silently standing in meditation or reading the written works of Li Hongzhi, the venerated founder and leader of the quasi-Buddhist movement commonly known as Falun Gong (Practitioners or Cultivators of the Wheel of Law). Many of the participants had packed food and water to sustain them during their long vigil, and some even vowed to spend the night. Despite a week of unrest orchestrated by Falun Gong practitioners in nearby Tianjin, the Beijing police were caught off guard by the demonstration. Aft er stationing uniformed police offi cers every six meters around the perimeter of the protesters’ grid, police authorities took well over twelve hours to disperse the group. Most left voluntarily around 8:30pm aft er police threatened to herd them all onto eighty buses waiting behind the nearby Great Hall of the People.

This article compiles news regarding Indonesia’s national security issues on 7–13 February 2021. It starts with news on main national security issues, i.e., the COVID-19 pandemic and events in the North Natuna Sea/South China Sea, then tells news on some national security areas, and finally news regarding domestic structures of national security in Indonesia. NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUES Two main national security issues highlighted during this week include the COVID-19 pandemic and events in the North Natuna Sea/South China Sea. COVID-19 Pandemic The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia continued with 63,693 new confirmed cases and 1,543 new deaths this week, amounting to a total of 1,210,703 cases and 32,936 deaths due to the disease. Active cases steadily decreased; however, it might have been caused by the decreasing number of tests performed. Positivity rate fluctuated between 20%–35%. Regarding the vaccination program, 283,230 more people had received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine while 278,279 more people had been fully vaccinated this week, amounting to a total of 1,060,326 people who had received the first dose and 415,486 people who had been fully vaccinated. It was an ominous moment, the kind that though significant only to a handful, nonetheless spawned rumor, hearsay, and the balance of that from which myth and legend are born. One such rumor is that the person responsible—or persons responsible, as some might object—was a renegade “Wandering Bishop”, acting under the auspices of the Black Lodge of Santa Cruz, a clandestine initiatory body that had formed near the heart of the Caliphate and now threatened its very existence. Personally, I felt such speculation was mere fodder for foolish assumption, and am surprised to find it persists to this day. It is for this reason that I have found myself compelled to step forward, and present the truth of the matter as best I can. I can assure you that when I, the witness of these events, first came into contact with the Caliphate, becoming embroiled in an insane plot to break away from that celebrated body was the farthest thing from my intent.
