2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship – Races 15 and 16 2018 VIRGIN AUSTRALIA SUPERCARS CHAMPIONSHIP – RACES 15 AND 16 CAMS PERMIT NUMBER: 818/1706/01 SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS FOR SUPERCARS STANDARD REQUIREMENTS 1.1 EVENT TITLE, DATE & VENUE The Event will be known as the “CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown” (hereinafter referred to as “the Event”) which will also comprise races 15 & 16 of the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship (“the VCS”), and be held at Hidden Valley Raceway, Darwin, Northern Territory 15th – 17th June 2018. 1.2 ORGANISATION & STATUS The Event will be held under the International Sporting Code including Appendices of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the Supercars Operations Manual (“the Rules”), and any applicable National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS) which are not in conflict with the Rules, the Supplementary Regulations, any Further Supplementary Regulations or instructions and any Bulletins issued. Media Manager: Cole Hitchcock 1.5 CIRCUIT DETAILS Track Length: 2.87 kilometres Direction: Anti-Clockwise Track Density: Supercars – 32 Notice Board: Located in the paddock office (pit exit end of the pit garages adjacent to the media centre) Stewards Office: Located adjacent to the paddock office complex – between the pit exit end of the pit garages and the race control tower DRD Office: Located adjacent to the paddock office complex – between the pit exit end of the pit garages and the race control tower Control Line: Located at the Finish Line and across Pit Exit ADMINISTRATION 2.1 ENTRIES Competitors must have completed the 2018 Supercars Entry Registration Form. Administration checking will commence at 0830hrs (ACST) on Thursday 14th June 2018. Any Competitors that need to change or add any details contained in their 2018 Entry Registration Form must do so at the Supercars Operations Transporter prior to the commencement of the Competitor’s Authorised Representatives Briefing on Thursday 14th June 2018. All Wildcard Entries will be required to present their International Competitor Licence, Drivers Car Club Membership, Driver Competition Licence, CAMS Super Licence and if applicable, international Visa to the Supercars Operations Truck no later than 1400hrs (ACST) on Thursday 14th June 2018. No change of Drivers will be accepted later than 1630hrs (ACST) on Thursday 14th June 2018 unless exceptional circumstances, as determined by the Stewards, warrant a change after that time. Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Supplementary Regulations Page 2 of 11 2018 CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown – Races 15 and 16 © Supercars Australia 2.2 ACCREDITATION CARDS (PASSES) & TEAM PARKING The Series Accreditation Cards will be recognised by the Organisers. Accreditation will be required from Thursday 14th June 2018. Teams will be allocated CP5 Event car passes. Only Event issued car passes will be accepted. Each entry will be allocated 4 passes for CP5 (Teams Car Park) located behind the support paddock garages. Each Team caterer will be allocated 1 CP5 car pass and will be permitted to enter the paddock for the sole purpose of delivering supplies. These cars must not park in the paddock, but in CP5 (Teams Car Park). No cars are to be parked in the Supercars Paddock from Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th June 2018. All Series Accreditation, including all Event issued sport accreditation and all Event issued car passes (CP2, CP3, CP4, CP5, CP6, CP7), must use Entrance B (via Marlow Road) to access the Event during the following hours: 2.2.7.1 Friday 15th June 0600 – 1800 2.2.7.2 Saturday 16th June 0600 – 2100 2.2.7.3 Sunday 17th June 0600 – 2100 2.2.7.4 Outside of these hours access is via the Security Checkpoint at Entrance A. 2.3 ACCREDITATION CENTRE OPENING HOURS Accreditation centres are located at Gate 4 and Entrance B. The accreditation centre will be open at the following times: Gate 4 Entrance B 2.3.2.1 Wednesday 13th June 0800 – 1700 0900 - 1600 2.3.2.2 Thursday 14th June 0700 – 1800 0900 - 1600 2.3.2.3 Friday 15th June 0600 – 1600 0600 - 1400 2.3.2.4 Saturday 16th June 0600 – 1600 Closed 2.3.2.5 Sunday 17th June 0600 – 1600 Closed TECHNICAL 3.1 SCRUTINEERING Scrutineering will commence at 0730hrs on Friday 15th June 2018. 3.2 MINIMUM WEIGHT In accordance with the requirements of Rule C4.1.1, all Wildcard Entry Drivers that have not competed in a race of the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, will be required for weighing by Supercars Officials at 1100hrs on Friday 15th June 2018, in the scales garage. SPORTING 4.1 DRIVER CONDITIONS POLICY In accordance with Rule D3.4.4, the nearest Town or City to the Circuit, as listed by the Bureau of Meteorology is Berrimah. http://www.bom.gov.au./places/nt/berrimah/ Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Supplementary Regulations Page 3 of 11 2018 CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown – Races 15 and 16 © Supercars Australia 4.2 BRIEFINGS A briefing for all Competitor’s Authorised Representatives will be held at 1630hrs (ACST) on Thursday 14th June 2018 in the Media Briefing Area located adjacent to the Paddock Offices. A briefing for all Competitors and Drivers will be held at 1745hrs (ACST) on Friday 15th June 2018 in the Media Briefing Area located adjacent to the Paddock Offices. 4.3 TYRE FITTING, ALLOCATION AND USAGE Control tyre fitting will commence from 0900hrs on Thursday 14th June 2018 in the Dunlop facility located in the Supercars paddock. In accordance with the provisions of rule D17.7.5.2 handback tyres will be returned to the Team once stripped and marked by Dunlop. Once stripped from a control wheel, handback tyres are not to be refitted to a control wheel for the remainder of the Event. 4.4 COMPULSORY PIT STOPS For race 15 only, the following additional CPS requirements must be complied with: 4.4.1.1 Each Car must complete one (1) CPS. 4.4.1.2 A Car may only complete its CPS after it commences lap 5 on the Race Track. 4.4.1.3 During the CPS, the Control Tyres removed from the Car cannot be refitted to the Car during that CPS. 4.4.1.4 The Penalty for failure to complete a CPS will be a Time Penalty added to that Car’s race time. 4.4.1.5 Should the SC be deployed prior to the leader commencing lap 5 on the Race Track, and the SC period continues after the commencement of lap 5, the CPS window will not open. Teams will be updated as to when the window will open via RMC and the Instant Messenger. OPERATIONS 5.1 ACCESS TO PADDOCK The set-up of the Supercars paddock will be at the discretion of Supercars. There will be no parking available inside the Hidden Valley Motorsport Complex for Transporters arriving early. At the direction of the Paddock Manager, Transporters are permitted to enter the paddock and park up 90 degrees to the garages between 1600hrs and 1800hrs (ACST) on Tuesday 12th June 2018 and from 0800hrs (ACST) on Wednesday 13th June 2018. Catering equipment only is permitted to be unloaded at 0800hrs (ACST) on Wednesday 13th June 2018. Remainder of Transporter unload is not permitted until 0830hrs (ACST) on Thursday 14th June 2018 unless otherwise approved by the Paddock Manager. 5.2 PITS AND PADDOCK For this Event, delete Rule E3.2.4.1 and replace with the following: E3.2.4.1 If positioned above the ground, they must be placed at a minimum height to the maximum height of the transporter of 6 meters above the ground. 5.3 RACE TRACK WALK Teams are permitted to undertake their Race Track walk on Thursday 14th June 2018 between 1200 and 1700 hours. Teams are advised that there will be contractors on the Race Track during this time. Virgin Australia Supercars Championship Supplementary Regulations Page 4 of 11 2018 CrownBet Darwin Triple Crown – Races 15 and 16 © Supercars Australia 5.4 TRANSPORTER DEPARTURE AFTER THE EVENT Unless otherwise advised by Supercars, no Team transporter will be permitted to move from its allocated position or leave the Supercars paddock prior to 1800hrs (ACST) on Sunday 17th June 2018.

Matters from Race 14: Deputy Race Director Incident Determinations During the Race the DRD conducted an investigation into an Incident at the exit of Turn 6 on Lap 3 when Car #19, Fabian Coulthard, made contract with the rear of Car #96, Macauley Jones, as a result of which Car #96 spun and lost positions. After reviewing broadcast footage and consulting the DSA, the DRD determined that no breach of the Rules was observed – Car #96 left no room for Car #19 on the outside of Car #96 at the exit of Turn 6. Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed The Stewards imposed the following Penalties during the Race: • A 15 Second Time Penalty for Car #99, Brodie Kostecki, for Careless Driving after an Incident at Turn 1 on Lap 5 when Car #99 made contact with the rear of Car #4, Jack Smith, as a result of which Car #4 spun and lost positions; • A 15 Second Time Penalty for Car #14, Todd Hazelwood, for Careless Driving after an Incident at Turn 6 on Lap 31 when Car #14 made contact with the rear of Car #26 and pushed Car #26. Car #14 failed to yield for Car #26 and made further contact with Car #26 at, and after, the apex of Turn 6 causing Car #26 to spin and lose positions.
