SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS FOR SUPERCARS

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

1.1 EVENT TITLE, DATE & VENUE The Event will be known as the “CrownBet ” (hereinafter referred to as “the Event”) which will also comprise races 15 & 16 of the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship (“the VCS”), and be held at Hidden Valley Raceway, Darwin, Northern Territory 15th – 17th June 2018.

1.2 ORGANISATION & STATUS The Event will be held under the International Sporting Code including Appendices of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the Supercars Operations Manual (“the Rules”), and any applicable National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS) which are not in conflict with the Rules, the Supplementary Regulations, any Further Supplementary Regulations or instructions and any Bulletins issued. ADMINISTRATION

2.1 ENTRIES Competitors must have completed the 2018 Supercars Entry Registration Form. Administration checking will commence at 0830hrs (ACST) on Thursday 14th June 2018. Any Competitors that need to change or add any details contained in their 2018 Entry Registration Form must do so at the Supercars Operations Transporter prior to the commencement of the Competitor’s Authorised Representatives Briefing on Thursday 14th June 2018. All Wildcard Entries will be required to present their International Competitor Licence, Drivers Car Club Membership, Driver Competition Licence, CAMS Super Licence and if applicable, international Visa to the Supercars Operations Truck no later than 1400hrs (ACST) on Thursday 14th June 2018. No change of Drivers will be accepted later than 1630hrs (ACST) on Thursday 14th June 2018 unless exceptional circumstances, as determined by the Stewards, warrant a change after that time.

2.2 ACCREDITATION CARDS (PASSES) & TEAM PARKING The Series Accreditation Cards will be recognised by the Organisers. Accreditation will be required from Thursday 14th June 2018. Teams will be allocated CP5 Event car passes. Only Event issued car passes will be accepted. Each entry will be allocated 4 passes for CP5 (Teams Car Park) located behind the support paddock garages. Each Team caterer will be allocated 1 CP5 car pass and will be permitted to enter the paddock for the sole purpose of delivering supplies. These cars must not park in the paddock, but in CP5 (Teams Car Park). No cars are to be parked in the Supercars Paddock from Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th June 2018. All Series Accreditation, including all Event issued sport accreditation and all Event issued car passes (CP2, CP3, CP4, CP5, CP6, CP7), must use Entrance B (via Marlow Road) to access the Event during the following hours: 2.2.7.1 Friday 15th June 0600 – 1800 2.2.7.2 Saturday 16th June 0600 – 2100 2.2.7.3 Sunday 17th June 0600 – 2100 2.2.7.4 Outside of these hours access is via the Security Checkpoint at Entrance A.

2.3 ACCREDITATION CENTRE OPENING HOURS Accreditation centres are located at Gate 4 and Entrance B. TECHNICAL

3.1 SCRUTINEERING Scrutineering will commence at 0730hrs on Friday 15th June 2018.

3.2 MINIMUM WEIGHT In accordance with the requirements of Rule C4.1.1, all Wildcard Entry Drivers that have not competed in a race of the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, will be required for weighing by Supercars Officials at 1100hrs on Friday 15th June 2018, in the scales garage.

SPORTING

4.1 DRIVER CONDITIONS POLICY In accordance with Rule D3.4.4, the nearest Town or City to the Circuit, as listed by the Bureau of Meteorology is Berrimah. http://www.bom.gov.au./places/nt/berrimah/

4.2 BRIEFINGS A briefing for all Competitor’s Authorised Representatives will be held at 1630hrs (ACST) on Thursday 14th June 2018 in the Media Briefing Area located adjacent to the Paddock Offices. A briefing for all Competitors and Drivers will be held at 1745hrs (ACST) on Friday 15th June 2018 in the Media Briefing Area located adjacent to the Paddock Offices.

4.3 TYRE FITTING, ALLOCATION AND USAGE Control tyre fitting will commence from 0900hrs on Thursday 14th June 2018 in the Dunlop facility located in the Supercars paddock. In accordance with the provisions of rule D17.7.5.2 handback tyres will be returned to the Team once stripped and marked by Dunlop. Once stripped from a control wheel, handback tyres are not to be refitted to a control wheel for the remainder of the Event.

4.4 COMPULSORY PIT STOPS For race 15 only, the following additional CPS requirements must be complied with: 4.4.1.1 Each Car must complete one (1) CPS. 4.4.1.2 A Car may only complete its CPS after it commences lap 5 on the Race Track. 4.4.1.3 During the CPS, the Control Tyres removed from the Car cannot be refitted to the Car during that CPS. 4.4.1.4 The Penalty for failure to complete a CPS will be a Time Penalty added to that Car’s race time. 4.4.1.5 Should the SC be deployed prior to the leader commencing lap 5 on the Race Track, and the SC period continues after the commencement of lap 5, the CPS window will not open. Teams will be updated as to when the window will open via RMC and the Instant Messenger.

OPERATIONS

5.1 ACCESS TO PADDOCK The set-up of the Supercars paddock will be at the discretion of Supercars. There will be no parking available inside the Hidden Valley Motorsport Complex for Transporters arriving early. At the direction of the Paddock Manager, Transporters are permitted to enter the paddock and park up 90 degrees to the garages between 1600hrs and 1800hrs (ACST) on Tuesday 12th June 2018 and from 0800hrs (ACST) on Wednesday 13th June 2018. Catering equipment only is permitted to be unloaded at 0800hrs (ACST) on Wednesday 13th June 2018. Remainder of Transporter unload is not permitted until 0830hrs (ACST) on Thursday 14th June 2018 unless otherwise approved by the Paddock Manager.

5.2 PITS AND PADDOCK For this Event, delete Rule E3.2.4.1 and replace with the following: E3.2.4.1 If positioned above the ground, they must be placed at a minimum height to the maximum height of the transporter of 6 meters above the ground.

5.3 RACE TRACK WALK Teams are permitted to undertake their Race Track walk on Thursday 14th June 2018 between 1200 and 1700 hours. Teams are advised that there will be contractors on the Race Track during this time.

5.4 TRANSPORTER DEPARTURE AFTER THE EVENT Unless otherwise advised by Supercars, no Team transporter will be permitted to move from its allocated position or leave the Supercars paddock prior to 1800hrs (ACST) on Sunday 17th June 2018. Transporters are only permitted to depart the Hidden Valley Motorsport Complex via Entrance B, Marlow Road between 1800hrs and 2100hrs on Sunday 17th June. All remaining transporters will be permitted to depart Hidden Valley Motorsport Complex after 2200hrs using Entrance A, via the venues internal roads.

5.5 DRIVER’S BATH WATER Teams are not permitted to drain Driver’s bath water at any time into the Paddock. All baths are required to be drained using the promoter organised water truck. This truck is scheduled to commence draining at 1700hrs on Sunday 17th June 2018.

MARKETING

6.1 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE Teams must adhere to the activities outlined in the promotional schedule and/or any subsequent updates as provided by Supercars.

6.2 TRANSPORTER PARADE The transporter parade will be held on Wednesday 13th June 2018. All Teams are required to take a minimum of their B trailers on the transporter parade. Those Teams that have an A trailer are encouraged to take both trailers on the transporter parade. All transporters are to assemble in the paddock area at Hidden Valley Raceway. The details for the convoy are as follows: 6.2.4.1 1645hrs: All vehicles must have arrived at Hidden Valley Raceway. 6.2.4.2 1745hrs: All drivers ready for a driver briefing to be held adjacent to the Supercars Operations Transporter in the pit paddock. 6.2.4.3 1810hrs: Transporters commence form-up 6.2.4.4 1830hrs: Depart Hidden Valley Raceway. Convoy to be escorted by the police to the Darwin CBD before arriving in Knuckey St. 6.2.4.5 1845hrs: Arrive in CBD. 6.2.4.6 1850hrs: Return to Hidden Valley Raceway. 6.2.4.7 1905hrs: Arrive at Hidden Valley Raceway. Below is the route for the transporter parade: 6.2.5.1 1830hrs Depart Hidden Valley Road Left Stuart Highway Continue Daly Street Left Mitchell Street 6.2.5.2 1845hrs Left Knuckey Street Right McMinn Street Left Tiger Brennan Drive 6.2.5.3 1905hrs Finish Hidden Valley Raceway The convoy will be stopped adjacent to the Smith Street Mall on Knuckey Street. The Chief Minister (or representative) will pass an NT Flag to the driver of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship transporter. The convoy will then proceed through Knuckey Street en route to Hidden Valley Raceway.

SPECIFIC CIRCUIT REQUIREMENTS

7.1 EVENT OPERATING HOURS The Event operating hours for the purpose of Rule E2 are as follows: 7.1.1.1 Friday 15th June 0915 – 1730 7.1.1.2 Saturday 16th June 0825 – after VCS race 15 7.1.1.3 Sunday 17th June 0800 – after VCS race 16

7.2 MEDICAL SERVICES The Medical Centre is located on the far side of the marshalling area near the TV compound and will be operational during the following times: 7.2.1.1 Friday 15th June 0800 - 1730 7.2.1.2 Saturday 16th June 0800 - 1730 7.2.1.3 Sunday 17th June 0800 - 1730 Any medical assistance that is required outside of the operating hours outlined in 7.2.1, please contact 000. The address to give to Emergency Services is: “Your Specific Location” Eg: Garage 1, Hidden Valley Raceway, Hidden Valley Road, Berrimah NT 0828. First aid will be onsite on Monday and Tuesday post Event. If required, please contact the Site Manager, Stuart Kennedy on 0411 439 957.

7.8 DELIVERIES AND ACCESS BY NON-ENDORSED EVENT SUPPLIERS It is the Team’s responsibility to ensure any service providers/contractors they engage who are not an endorsed supplier, have the correct credentials to access the venue and any applicable site safety induction is completed.

7.9 TRUCK WASHING Truck wash downs cannot take place in the Supercars pit paddock area or at the Circuit. Teams are able to wash-down their trucks at the Territory Transit Bus Depot, Corner Armidale and Illiffe Streets, Stuart Park 0820. The facility will be available on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th June from 0930 – 1430. Teams are asked to make a $20 donation for the use of the facility, which will be donated to a charity nominated by the bus drivers. Please note that a brief induction will need to be undertaken and high-vis to be worn.

7.10 HEALTH AND SAFETY In line with the Northern Territory Health and Safety Act, there are two (2) Designated Smoking Areas allocated within the Paddock. Smoking is only permitted in these areas and will be sign posted.

7.11 UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES (UAV) PROHIBITION Be advised that the use (operation) of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), drones, or other similar devices, by any Competitor, Team, Team member or person/s associated with a Team or Competitor is prohibited. This prohibition extends for the period of the Event defined as the Event period over the Event area defined as the Event area. It also includes the prohibition of the use (operation) of any unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), drone or similar device from outside the declared area of the Event over the declared area during the Event period. A breach of this prohibition will result in the exclusion from the Event for any offending Competitor and or Team and Driver/s. All credentials or admission tickets issued to any offending Competitor or Team, and associated personnel will also be withdrawn. The prohibition and Penalty for a breach of same as outlined above, is in addition to any Penalty/Penalties that may occur as a result of Civil Aviation Authority (CASA) regulations in relation to the use of UAVs in controlled airspace, and over areas containing significant numbers of people.

7.12 UNREGISTERED VEHICLES/GOLF BUGGIES/QUAD BIKES All vehicles, including golf buggies and quad bikes must be registered and meet roadworthy requirements. Any vehicles/golf buggies/quad bikes not registered will need to apply for temporary registration (fees apply) issued through Northern Territory’s Department of Transport’s Motor Vehicle Registry (MVR).
