A detailed description of ¨¦§495 the methodologies employed to evaluate impacts for BRIGHTSEAT ROAD ¨¦§95 each resource and the relevant regulatory framework is given in chapter 3, Methodology. The Landover site consists of approximately 80 acres of vacant land located near the intersection of Brightseat Road and Landover Road in Prince George’s County, Maryland. It is bound on the north by Evarts Street, on the east by the Capital Beltway, on the south by Landover Road, and on the west by TRUCK & EVARTS STREET SECONDARY Brightseat Road. Previously, the site was home to the TRUCK VEHICULAR SCREENING GATE Landover Mall, which operated between 1972 and REMOTE DELIVERY 2002. PURPOSE: The purpose of this item is to seek Board acceptance and approval of the Public Outreach and Input Report and Title VI equity analysis, and the FY2020 Operating Budget and FY2020-2025 CIP. DESCRIPTION: Budget Priorities: Keeping Metro Safe, Reliable and Affordable The budget is built upon the General Manager/CEO's Keeping Metro Safe, Reliable and Affordable (KMSRA) strategic plan. Metro is making major progress to achieve the goals of this plan by ramping up to average capital investment of $1.5 billion annually, establishing a dedicated capital trust fund exclusive to capital investment, and limiting jurisdictional annual capital funding growth to three percent. Metro continues to encourage the U.S. Congress to reauthorize the Passenger Rail Investment and Improvement Act (PRIIA) beyond FY2020, which provides $150 million in annual federal funds matched by $150 million from the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and Commonwealth of Virginia. In order to establish a sustainable operating model, Metro is limiting jurisdictional operating subsidy growth to three percent and deploying innovative competitive contracting. The items on the KMSRA agenda that remain to be completed include restructuring retirement benefits and creating a Rainy Day Fund. -

PURPOSE To brief Committee members on the CCPY Transitway project and Metro’s role in assisting Alexandria and Arlington with implementation of the new premium transit service. DESCRIPTION New transit service will be provided on a five-mile corridor connecting Pentagon City, Crystal City and Braddock Road Metrorail Stations. Key Highlights: The CCPY corridor will have four-miles of dedicated right-of-way with 33 platforms at 20 station locations, off-board fare collection to speed passenger boarding, and customer amenities at each station. Service will be provided on uniquely branded vehicles that clearly identify the service. Arlington and Alexandria are finalizing the CCPY Transitway operating plan, and associated costs are included in the Metro FY2014 operating budget. BACKGROUND AND HISTORY On February 28, 2013, the Board approved an amendment to the FY2013 Capital Reimbursable project budget and authorized the General Manager to enter into an agreement with the City of Alexandria to purchase six 40-foot buses for CCPY Transitway. DISCUSSION The CCPY Transitway will be the first right-of-way dedicated exclusively to premium bus operations in the Washington metropolitan area. Known in the transit industry as bus rapid transit, this Corridor features bus-only lanes that reduce traffic congestion, and enable buses to improve travel time and reliability. -
