This includes the city of Albuquerque. * until 830 pm MDT * at 645 pm MDT...National Weather Service Doppler radar indi- cated a thunderstorm with very heavy rain over Petroglyph National Monument...moving slowly to the east. * Thunderstorms with excessive rainfall will be near western metropolitan Albuquerque at 700 pm MDT. An inch or more of rainfall is expected in downtown sections of Albuquerque from this thunderstorm. During the next two hours...Flash flooding is expected in normally dry arroyos that drain into the Rio Grande from Albuquerque. Persons in low-lying or normally flood-prone areas should go to higher ground immediately.
